    • A vehicular lamp having a projection-type light source unit installed in its lamp chamber. The projection-type light source unit includes a reflector that has a light source and a cylindrical lens holder that is disposed on the front end of the reflector and is provided with a convex lens at its front end so that the peripheral portion of the convex lens is fixed to the front edge of the lens holder by a lens fixture. The lens holder has, on the inner or interior side of the front edge, a lens engaging portion so that the peripheral portion of the convex lens is engaged with this lens engaging portion from behind, and the convex lens is securely held at its peripheral portion on the lens engaging portion by the lens fixture (a lens fitting, a fastening screw, a boss having a screw hole) provided inside the lens holder.

    • A bill counting machine includes a bill setting section, a bill take-out means for taking out bills from the bill setting section one by one into a main body of the bill counting machine, a bill conveyor for conveying the bills in a bill conveying passage, a sensor device for detecting optical properties and/or magnetic properties of each bill and producing detection data of the bill, a reference data memory for storing reference data of bills, a discriminator for comparing the detection data of the bill produced by the sensor device with the reference data of bills, thereby discriminating whether or not the bill is acceptable, the denomination of the bill and whether bills are being conveyed by the bill conveying means one by one and counting bills to be counted, and a bill stacking section, the bill counting machine further including a stopper locatable at a projecting position in the bill conveying passage downstream of the sensor device, the discriminator being constituted so as not to count a bill discriminated as unacceptable and a following bill or not to count two or more bills discriminated to be simultaneously conveyed and a following bill when it discriminates that the bill is unacceptable or that two or more bills are being simultaneously conveyed and to locate the stopper in the projecting position, the stopper located at the projecting position being accessible from outside of the main body of the bill counting machine. According to the thus constituted bill counting machine has small size and can prevent bills from jamming when the counting operation is restarted, and can sort unacceptable bills from acceptable bills and reliably collect them.

    • An information reproducing apparatus has a read device, is capable of reproducing sub picture information and is also capable of performing a highlight display of the sub picture information. In an information record medium to be reproduced by this reproducing apparatus, at least the sub picture information and reproduction control information to control a reproduction of the sub picture information are recorded on the record track such that the sub picture information and the reproduction control information are divided into a plurality of groups. Each of the groups is a predetermined unit able to be accessed by the information reproducing apparatus, and has a sub picture pack in which the sub picture information is contained and a control pack in which the reproduction control information is contained. The reproduction control information includes (i) highlight display control information prescribing at least one of the highlight display of the sub picture information and an operation control corresponding to the sub picture information and (ii) time management information indicating times to manage a start time and an end time respectively of at least one of an effective time period during which the highlight display is effective and an effective time period during which the operation control is effective.

    • An information recording apparatus (SS1) is provided with a signal process device (72) for applying a predetermined process to record information (R) including video information and other information to be recorded onto an information record medium (1: DVD), to thereby output processed record information (Sr) composed of a plurality of predetermined information units (30: VOBU). The signal process device also generates first recording position information for respective one of the information units. The first recording position information indicates recording positions on the information record medium of the information units corresponding to reproduction times of the record information within a predetermined range before and after the respective one of the information units. The signal process unit further generates second recording position information for respective one of the information units. The second recording position information indicates recording positions of the video information to be reproduced within the predetermined range. The information recording apparatus is also provided with: a multiplex device (75, 76) for multiplexing the processed record information, and the first and second recording position informations by each of the information units.
