    • A liquid crystal display (LCD) panel includes first and second substrates, and a liquid crystal layer interposed between the first and second substrates. The first substrate includes gate lines, data lines, a storage line and a pixel electrode. The gate lines extend along a first direction. The data lines extend along a second direction crossing the first direction, and the gate and data lines define a unit pixel. The storage line includes a first line portion extending along the second direction in the unit pixel. The pixel electrode divides the unit pixel into first and second domains. A second substrate faces the first substrate and includes a common electrode having a first hole formed on the common electrode, and the first hole is overlapped with the storage line. The first hole and the storage line are overlapped with each other, so that an opening ratio may be enhanced.

    • Disclosed is an image forming apparatus that includes a body housing having an opening and a cover covering the opening, a body frame in the body housing for supporting thereon various component parts of the image forming apparatus, an image forming cartridge receivable into the body housing through the opening to be detachably supported on the body frame and a support assembly supporting the mounted image forming cartridge. The support assembly includes a locking member movable between a locking position at which the image forming cartridge is limited in its movement along the direction of separating away from the body frame and a releasing position at which the image forming cartridge is allowed to move away from the body frame. The support assembly further includes an elastic member elastically biasing the locking member to the releasing position and a pressing member provided on the cover for pressing the locking member to remain in the locking position when the covered is closed to cover the opening.

    • An LCD and a driving method thereof include: data writing for applying a common voltage and a data voltage to a plurality of pixels; and sustaining for applying a shifted common voltage shifted by a predetermined level from the common voltage to the plurality of pixels for a sustain period during which the plurality of pixels emit light, corresponding to the data voltage. The shifted common voltage is shifted to an opposite polarity of a polarity of a gate-off voltage applied to the plurality of pixels to float the plurality of pixels. During a sustain period, a gate-source voltage of the switching transistor can be increased, and accordingly an influence due to the leakage current can be minimized, thereby preventing image deterioration. Further, since capacitance of the sustain capacitor can be reduced so that power consumption of the LCD can be reduced.
