摘要： PURPOSE:To prevent the covering of effective portions from being damaged when several metallic pipes conveyed in a row are heated and the external surfaces are covered to manufacture covered metallic pipes by a method wherein the end portions of said connected pipes is detected after the covering process, and metallic pipes are conveyed while holding this end portion and then cooled. CONSTITUTION:Metallic pipes W, W successively supplied are connected in advance by a connecting jig 2 that is inserted into the inside of the rear end of the foregoing metallic pipe W and the inside of the front end of the succeeding pipe W, are passed through a heater 1a, heated, then, passed through a circular die 1b, to obtain a covered metallic pipe W' where the outer surface of the metallic pipe W is covered with anticorrosive layer. the end portion of the connecting pipe is detected by a detector 4 and the neighboring portion of said connecting pipe end is hung by wires 7a, 7b to feed the covered metallic pipe W'. These wires 7a, 7b are made to hold the pipe ends that will be cut off later. Thus, the covered portion of the metallic pipe undergoes no damage.

摘要： PURPOSE:To remarkably reduce a residual strain of a resin layer caused by thermal shrinkage, by coating an outside surface of a corrosion preventing layer with a special adhesion preventing agent which shows a low shear strength at a high temperature but a high shear strength at an ambient temperature. CONSTITUTION:A surface of a steel pipe 1 is coated with an anticorrosion layer 11 including a plastic film as a primary coat. An adhesion preventing layer is formed on the surface of the anticorrosion layer, by applying an adhesion preventing agent onto the surface with a coater 6. The adhesion preventing agent is, for example, a high melting point wax, an apliphatic hydrocarbon mixture or a mixture of these substances with a copolymer of polyethylene and polypropylene. This adhesion preventing layer has the feature that its shear strength is low at a high temperature but high at an ambient temperature.

摘要： PURPOSE:To form a shark skin like embossed pattern on an outer surface of a coated plastic by mainting a temp. in the vicinity of an extruding port lower than a plastic temp. in preparing the plastic coated steel pipe. CONSTITUTION:After the plastic 8 is filled in a plastic storage chamber 9 within a die 6, a heater 13 is operated to heat to an extruding temp. Subsequently, in order to control a height and a pitch of the embossed portion formed on the outer surface of the plastic coated steel pipe to a desired value, a cooling air blowing apparatus 14 is operated to initiate the cooling of a lip portion 12 so as to adjust the temp. differential between the lip portion 12 and the plastic in the storage chamber 9 to an objective value. Then, if the coating of the plastic to an original steel pipe 5 is initiated according to a conventional method of an extrusion method, the shark skin like embossed pattern having a predetermined height and a pitch is formed on a surface of the coating layer. As described above, the inexpensive anti-slip embossed pattern is formed on the surface of the plastic coating.
