    • A dual shaft rack and pinion steering assembly for a vehicle includes a housing mounted to the vehicle and containing first and second parallel shafts linked to one another for synchronized axial movement. The first and second shafts are slidably positioned within the housing. One of the shafts includes a piston operable by hydraulic fluid contained within the housing. The other of the shafts includes a rack of teeth for meshing with a pinion gear driven by a steering column. The hydraulic fluid operates the piston by pressure coordinated with the driving of the rack by the pinion gear to assist the coordinated movement of the dual shaft assembly. The linked parallel shafts are connected to a drag link to direct a first wheel in response to axial movement of the shafts, which is further connected to a cross car link simultaneously directing a second wheel.

    • A tent capable of being positioned in either a free-standing position or in supported relation to a vehicle. A top and two side fabric panels comprising a portion of the tent's skin is adapted to enshroud and become attached to a portion of the rear end of a vehicle. A plurality of magnets are sewn into the seam formed along the entire free edge of the top, vehicle covering, fabric panel, and a portion of the side panels' free edges. The magnets effectively attach the panels to the vehicle when placed in contacting relation thereto. Finger pump actuated suction cups are attached to the tent's frame and engage each of the vehicle covering, side panels. The suction cups may be stuck to the vehicle's side panels to effectively secure attachment of the side fabric panels thereto. To ensure that the top and side fabric panels are effectively sealed around the vehicle, a pair of drawstring assemblies are fixedly secured to the opposite side edges of the top, vehicle covering fabric panel. The drawstring assemblies permit the fabric panels to be pulled and maintained in tight, contacting relation to the vehicle, thereby preventing wind and other wind elements from penetrating the tent's interior.

    • A data management and distribution system for an electronic program guide ("EPG") for television programs comprising an automated data collection subsystem, a manual entry and correction subsystem, a database validation subsystem, an edition generation subsystem, a configuration subsystem, and a status and control subsystem. The system may further comprise a feed generation subsystem if one or more of the EPG providers supported by the EPG distributor requires a live feed of data. The automated data collection subsystem collects EPG data from multiple sources in various formats, filters the data based on the needs of the EPG providers supported, and places the data in a centralized database in a form suitable to support the different environmental contexts of the EPG providers. The manual entry and correction subsystem permits the EPG distributor to make manual corrections, additions, and deletions to the data stored in the database. The database validation subsystem verifies the data stored in the database in accordance with designated verification options. The edition generation subsystem generates the different editions of the EPG for the different EPG providers supported by the EPG distributor. The configuration subsystem receives information from the various EPG providers and furnishes this information to the other subsystems which utilize the information in performing their respective tasks. The status and control subsystem monitors the operation of the data management and distribution system as a whole. The various feeds and editions are then transmitted to the EPG providers by, e.g., satellite, wire, cable, etc. The EPG providers receive the feeds and editions and use them provide one or both of a dedicated channel EPG and interactive EPG to subscribers.
