    • A pressurized gas cartridge drives a dispensing device for viscous product cartridges. The dispensing device and the viscous product cartridge form a gas enclosure separated from a product enclosure by a movable wall. A valve is driven by a rack and pinion valve drive mechanism between an open position and a closed position upon rotation of the pinion. The rack rotates the pinion upon linear movement thereof. A trigger is adapted to impart linear movement to the rack upon manual actuation of the trigger. The open position of the nozzle valve permits viscous product to flow through the dispensing passage, and the closed position of the nozzle valve prevents viscous product from flowing through the dispensing passage. The interface between the trigger and rack is designed to operationally disengage rather than transmit a force therebetween that is capable of damaging the device.

    • A software interface used in designing communications circuits receives input from a user (20). In response, the software interface initiates accessing of a route plan (16) comprising a first route point group (38) associated with a first circuit end point (34), a second route point group (38) associated with a second circuit end point (34), and one or more routes (32) connecting the first and second route point groups (38). Each route (32) is available for use in designing the circuit. The software interface provides information to the user (20) reflecting assignment of the route (32) to the circuit. The route plan (16) may be selected from among multiple route plans (16) according to a service application (14) automatically derived from an associated circuit order. The software interface may initiate assignment of equipment to the circuit at one or more points along the selected route (32) according to an equipment assignment template (18) specifying characteristics of the equipment. The template (18) may be selected from among multiple templates (18) according to a service application (14).

    • A pruner attachment apparatus includes a body releasably attachable to a shoe of a power tool of the type having a reciprocating saw blade. The body includes a front face for engaging a workpiece. The pruner attachment apparatus further includes a hook member for engaging the workpiece. The hook member is laterally spaced from the saw blade of the tool and is mounted to the body for movement along a path between a first position and a second position. The path includes an upper curvilinear portion configured such that movement of the hook member from the first position to the second position positions the hook member completely behind an imaginary line in a common plane with the front face. A biasing mechanism biases the hook member to the second position.

    • A switch lockout mechanism for a power tool includes a handle housing for gripping by a power tool operator. The handle housing is generally elongated in a direction corresponding to the gripping axis of a power tool operator. A switch is attached to the housing and is actuatable between an “on” position and an “off” position. A locking member is rotatably or pivotally attached to the housing. The locking member is rotatable about an axis that generally extends in the same direction as the handle housing in an elongated direction. The locking member has a first rotatable position wherein the switch is locked in its “off” position, and a second rotatable position wherein the switch is actuated to its “on” position. An actuating member allows a tool operator to move the locking member between its first and second positions.

The repositionable tool accessory can include a tool accessory housing, a rod, a roller, and a locking knob. The tool accessory housing can define a first rod opening and include engaging structure that is configured to cooperatively mate with the first mounting structure. The rod can slidably translate along the first rod opening. The roller can be rotatably coupled to a distal portion of the rod. The locking knob can be movable between an unlocked position wherein the rod is freely translatable along the first rod opening to locate the roller at different locations relative to the output member, and a lock position wherein the rod is fixed relative to the tool accessory housing.
