摘要： Systems and methodologies are described that facilitates communicating Physical Control Format Indicator Channel (PCFICH) information to a user equipment (UE) in which the PCFICH information is specific to a particular component carrier. The PCFICH information for each component carrier can be communicated via an anchor component carrier in order to reduce decoding each PCFICH information for each component carrier. In particular, the PCFICH information can be decoded for an anchor component carrier and PCFICH information for additional carriers can be included in a Multi-Carrier (MC) grant of the Physical Downlink Control Channel (PDCCH).

摘要： Techniques for supporting operation on multiple carriers are described. In an aspect, a carrier indicator (CI) field may be used to support cross-carrier assignment. The CI field may be included in a grant sent on one carrier and may be used to indicate another carrier on which resources are assigned. In one design, a cell may determine a first carrier on which to send a grant to a UE, determine a second carrier on which resources are assigned to the UE, set a CI field of the grant based on the second carrier and a CI mapping for the first carrier, and send the grant to the UE on the first carrier. The UE may receive the grant on the first carrier from the cell and may determine the second carrier on which resources are assigned to the UE based on the CI field of the grant and the CI mapping for the first carrier.

摘要： Techniques to support periodic reporting of channel state information (CSI) for multiple component carriers (CCs) with different system configurations are disclosed. A user equipment (UE) is configured with multiple CCs for carrier aggregation. Each CC is associated with a particular system configuration, which indicates whether FDD or TDD is utilized and, if TDD is utilized, a particular uplink-downlink configuration for the CC. Each CC is associated with a set of subframes available to send CSI on that CC, which is determined based on the system configuration of the CC. The multiple CCs configured for the UE include at least two CCs associated with different system configurations and different sets of subframes available to send CSI. The UE sends CSI for a first CC on a second CC based on a set of subframes available to send CSI on the second CC.

In the second tier, resources (e.g., subframes) for channels carrying data for MBMS services may be signaled via the MCCH. In one design, a base station/cell may determine resources used to send a MCCH. The cell may generate a SIB comprising information indicative of the resources used to send the MCCH. The cell may send the SIB in a broadcast control channel (BCCH). The cell may send the MCCH on the resources indicated by the information sent in the SIB. The cell may send other channels carrying data for MBMS services based on information sent in the MCCH.

摘要： Systems and methodologies are described that facilitate indicating a loss of channel quality on a component carrier of a plurality of component carriers. A UE can monitor configured component carriers to determine channel qualities associated therewith. The UE can transmit carrier quality information that includes the channel qualities of the plurality of component carriers. In addition, the UE can identify a component carrier experiencing a loss of channel quality and notify a base station of the component carrier with poor channel conditions. In one aspect, the UE can incorporate additional information into a scheduling request. In addition, the UE can generate a CQI report that contains the carrier quality information. Further, the base station, when a loss of channel quality occurs, can retry transmission on different carriers. Moreover, the base station can employ information provided by the UE when selecting a component carrier for a transmission.

摘要： Techniques for transmitting control information to support communication on multiple component carriers (CCs) are disclosed. A user equipment (UE) may be configured for operation on multiple CCs. These CCs may be associated with control messages having different definitions. For example, a control message for a CC configured for frequency division duplex (FDD) may have a different definition than a control message for a CC configured for time division duplex (TDD). A base station may send first control information for a first CC based on a definition of a control message for a second CC, instead of a definition of a control message for the first CC. The control message for the second CC may be selected for use to send the first control information based on various designs.

A group of base stations/cells may support a number of MBMS services and may transmit any set of MBMS services in a given scheduling period. In one design, a base station may determine scheduling information for a plurality of MBMS services, generate a bitmap based on the scheduling information, and send the bitmap to convey the scheduling information. The bitmap may include a bit for each MBMS service, and the bit may indicate whether or not that MBMS service is scheduled. In one design, the bitmap may cover all MBMS services supported by the base station. In another design, a plurality of groups of MBMS services may be formed for all supported MBMS services. A group of MBMS services may be selected from among the plurality of groups, and the bitmap may be for the MBMS services in the selected group.
