摘要： Methods, apparatuses, and computer program products are disclosed for facilitating a radio link failure determination. A wireless terminal is configured to monitor a control channel quality of a control signal over at least one control carrier. A radio link failure determination is then made based on the control channel quality of the at least one control carrier. In other embodiments, rather than basing the radio link failure determination solely on the set of control carriers, the wireless terminal is configured to monitor a control channel quality over at least one additional carrier, not included in the set of control carriers, in response to a link loss detected over each of the set of control carriers. For such embodiments, the radio link failure determination is then made based on the control channel quality of the additional carrier(s).

摘要： A precoding scheme to accommodate user equipment (UEs) having higher Doppler speeds. In such transmission schemes, a different precoding matrix is applied to each orthogonal frequency division multiplex (OFDM) symbol in the transmission stream. Additionally, a downlink control message format is defined to handle assignment of multiple different transmission schemes using the same message format. The downlink control message format includes a control element in one of the message fields along with a set of parameters specifically applicable to the assigned transmission scheme. Based on the value of this control element, the UE sets the specific transmission scheme and determines a set of interpretation rules uniquely associated with that transmission scheme. Using the interpretation rules, the UE is able to read the set of parameters as applied to the selected transmission scheme.

摘要： Techniques for supporting data transmission with single-user multiple-input multiple-output (SU-MIMO) and multi-user MIMO (MU-MIMO) are described. A base station may transmit multiple data streams on a given time-frequency resource to a single user equipment (UE) for SU-MIMO or to multiple UEs for MU-MIMO. In an aspect, an antenna port assignment for a UE for MU-MIMO may be conveyed by reusing one or more fields of a downlink control information (DCI) format. In another aspect, a hierarchical two-tier structure may be used to convey an antenna port assignment for a UE for MU-MIMO. In yet another aspect, a UE may be configured via higher layer to report only channel quality indicator (CQI), or both CQI and precoding matrix indicator (PMI), when operating in a transmission mode supporting SU-MIMO and MU-MIMO. In yet another aspect, a UE may report CQI such that SU-MIMO and MU-MIMO can be supported for the UE.

A UE can employ coordinated multi-point transmission and/or reception such that multiple cells collaborate to transmit data to the UE and/or receive data from the UE. To support the coordinated multi-point transmission and/or reception, the UE can transmit a sounding reference signal that is configured to enable reliable reception of the sounding reference signal by members of a cooperating set. In addition, configuration of the sounding reference signal can be coordinated to enable more efficient transmission and utilization of the sounding reference signal. Configuration of the sounding reference signal can be based upon information exchanged between the multiple cells. Moreover, the multiple cells can coordinate to set and control a transmit power of the sounding reference signal.
