摘要： A tyre for vehicle wheels has a pair of beads (5) each having a frusto-conical rest surface (5a) and showing a cross-section profile converging towards the rotation axis of the tyre (1) away from an equatorial plane (X-X) of same. Each bead (5) incorporates an annular anchoring structure (4) comprising an anchoring portion (16) of a flattened profile extending in parallel to the rest surface (5a), and a stiffening portion (12) extending in a radial direction. Associated with the carcass structure (2) is a circumferential centring ridge (20) radially jutting out within the tyre (1) at a crown portion of the latter. Also described is a rim (23) provided with engagement seats (24) the shape of which matches that of the beads (5) and with a guide race (25) conforming in shape to the centring ridge (20).

摘要： It is disclosed a method and an apparatus for moulding and curing a tyre for vehicle wheels, said method comprising the steps of : building a green tyre on a toroidal support (10) having an outer surface the shape of which substantially matches that of an inter surface of said green tyre; placing said green tyre carried by said toroidal support (10) into a moulding cavity (104) defined in a vulcanization mould (102), said moulding cavity (104) having walls conforming in shape to an outer surface of said tyre when vulcanization has been completed; pressing an outer surface of said green tyre against the walls of said moulding cavity (104) by means of a working fluid under pressure flowing in at least one diffusion gap between said outer surface of said toroidal support (10) and said inner surface of said green tyre; heating said working fluid under pressure so as to supply heat to said green tyre in order to enable vulcanization of same, wherein said working fluid under pressure in contact with said green tyre is submitted to circulation.

A third annular insert (26) is applied against the terminal edges of the segments (14) belonging to the second series to enclose said terminal portions against the second insert (24).
