摘要： A technique for protecting location information of a subscriber in a mobile network may include forwarding a registration request from the subscriber to an S-CSCF including the subscriber's TA and then forwarding a location update from the S-CSCF to an HSS including the subscriber's TA. Upon the S-CSCF losing data, lost data may be restored to the S-CSCF from the data stored in the HSS. The HSS may store data in a non-volatile memory such as a hard disk drive. The technique may also include forwarding a registration request from the subscriber to an S-CSCF including the subscriber's TA and then forwarding a location update from the S-CSCF to an HSS and storing data in a non-volatile memory such has a hard disk drive in the S-CSCF so as to be protected against loss. Upon the S-CSCF losing data, lost data including the subscriber's TA may be restored to the S-CSCF from the data stored in the S-CSCF.

A station may assert an emergency service in a network by generating an association request that includes an indication of a request for an emergency service. The association request is transmitted to a network access point, and the station may be associated with the access point without engaging in an authentication procedure. Additionally, a network access point is provided that facilitates provisioning of emergency services to authenticated or unauthenticated network stations. An access point receives an association request that includes an indication of a request for an emergency service, and transmits an association response to a station that originated the association request. The originator of the association request may be associated with the access point without the access point engaging in an authentication procedure with the requesting station. Additionally, the access point may segregate emergency service traffic from general-purpose traffic to prohibit exploitation of the emergency service to fraudulently access other network services.

A service script for a user is loaded in response to the receipt of an incoming message, and it is checked based on a comparison of the loaded service script and the incomming message whether a service is to be triggered. If a service triggering has been determined, a service is activated in an external service execution enviromnent. Due to the fact that the service execution is not performed in the service control point but in an external service execution environment, the service logic does not have to be provided at the service control point. It provides a flexible way to define, execute, and control user-specific, operator, and third party services combining various service capabilities.
