      SOLUTION: In the method for producing a welded steel pipe having excellent embrittlement crack properties in a weld metal, and in a method for producing a welded steel pipe where a steel plate having a tensile strength of ≥850 MPa is cylindrically formed, and the butted parts are subjected to submerged-arc welding from the inside and outside faces, the height in the thickness direction of the weld metal is reduced by 0.2 to 10% over the whole length in a welding direction.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide excellent sealing performance by fitting a box with a shoulder part and a metal contact face formed to correspond to the tip shape of a pipe body, to the outside of the pipe body having two shoulder parts arranged stepwise at an unthreaded tip part, and its intermediate part formed of a metal contact face. SOLUTION: A tapered external thread is formed at one end of a pipe body (pin) 1, and two shoulder parts 5, 6 are formed at the tip part. A part between both shoulder parts 5, 6 is formed as a metal contact part 4. An internal thread 3' to be fitted to the external thread 3 is formed at a double-pipe box 2 for connecting the pins 1, 1 to each other, and a shoulder part 5' and a metal contact part 4' corresponding to external thread tip shape are also formed at the double-pipe box 2. After disposing inner surface clad corrosion resistant material 8 at an external thread tip part, thread fastening is performed. The tip metal contact faces 4, 4' are therefore brought into contact with each other to form a first sealing surface. Fastening is continued, and the shoulder parts 5, 5' are brought into abutting contact in a final stage of fastening to form a second sealing surface.
