    • PURPOSE:To protect circuit elements of a converter without interfering with operation by providing a protective circuit to stop the operation of the switching means which makes and breaks a DC power circuit when the supply voltage of a DC power source is higher than a voltage setting for longer than a fixed time. CONSTITUTION:When the voltage of a DC power source 15 through a time-constant circuit containing a resistor 13 and condenser 14 is lower than the voltage setting of a constant-voltage diode 8, a transistor 9 is off, and a transistor 10 is on. When the voltage of the DC power source 15 is higher than the Zener voltage of the constant-voltage diode 8, it conducts, so that the transistor 9 is on, the transistor 10 is off, and transistors 11 and 12 are on. Consequently, with the bases of transistors 5 and 6 approximately grounded, these transistors stop the on/off operation according to signals from a control circuit 4, so that no current is available for the primary winding 3 of an output transformer 1, and the transistors 5 and 6.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain a miniaturized and simple-structure noncontacting type displacement quantity sensor where the variation of the voltage per stroke is increased to enhance the SN ratio and a VE pump can be mounted, by winding a pair of coils around a cylindrical bobbin and connecting them with phases opposite to each other and making a bar-shaped core for detection of displacement quantity longer than said pair of coils. CONSTITUTION:A displacement quantity sensor is structured as shown in figure and is constituted in the negative-phase connection. In case that this sensor is applied to a sensor for the spill ring position of a VE fuel injection pump, a spill ring 42 is placed in the left in figure when the quantity of fuel injection is small, and the spill ring 42 is moved to be placed in the right when the quantity of fuel injection is large to require this movement. Consequently, when the quantity of fuel injection is large, the output voltage value is low, for example, 1V; and when the quantity of fuel injection is small, for example, in case of the idle operation state, the spill ring 42 is moved to the left, and the stroke of a core 4 is increased, and the output voltage becomes, for example, 3V.
