    • PURPOSE:To form a chemical conversion film having excellent coating adhesiveness and corrosion resistance by continuously subjecting a steel sheet to galvanizing, treatment by an aq. soln. contg. metallic ions as an essential component, washing and drying then to a chemical conversion treatment. CONSTITUTION:The steel sheet is continuously subjected to the stage for galvanizing, stage for treating the same with the aq. soln. contg. the metallic ions of >=1 kinds among iron, nickel and cobalt as the essential component and a complexing agent as an auxiliary component, washing stage and force drying stage. The treatment with the aq. soln. contg. the above-mentioned metallic ions as the essential component is executed to preferably form the above- mentioned metal on the surface of the galvanized steel sheet at about 1-200mg/m in total. An org. compd. such as glycine or tartaric acid is used for the above-mentioned complexing agent. The galvanized steel sheet after the above-mentioned treatment is made into a product and if necessary, the product is further molded and is then subjected to a surface treatment by an aq. phosphate or chromate soln., by which the chemical conversion film is formed thereon.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent segregation and thickening of Al on a Zn-Al plating surface by pretreating the Zn-Al alloy plating surface with an aq. alkali soln. dissolved therewith with specific metallic ions and the complexing agent thereof prior to a phosphate treatment of said surface. CONSTITUTION:A phosphate film is formed on the plating surface of a steel sheet or the like on which a Zn-Al alloy is plated. The surface is pretreated with an aq. alkali soln. which contains metallic ions of one or >=2 kinds among Co, Fe, Ni and Mn, contains the complexing agent of the amt. necessary for the dissolution of the metallic ions and is adjusted to >=11pH by NaOH, Ca2CO3, etc. A phosphate film is then formed thereon by an aq. zinc phosphate soln. contg., for example, 0.1-1% Zn, 0.6-4% PO4, 0.1-4% NO3, 0.01-0.4% Ni and 0.01-0.3% F. The part where the Al of the plating layer is segregated and thickened is removed and the formability of the chemical converted film of phosphate is improved.

    • PURPOSE:To realize a reduction of the energy to be consumed, by adapting the immersing method and the spray method for the predegreasing zone and the main degreasing zone respectively for the processor having a successive disposition of zones for the exhaustion, predegreasing, main degreasing, washing by water, chemical treating and washing by water respectively. CONSTITUTION:The phosphating apparatus processor for the metal to be processed has a successive disposition of exjaistopm zone 1, predegreasing zone 22, main degreasing zone 23, the first washing zone 4, chemical treating zone 5 and the second washing zone 6 respectively. For the degreasing zones, the conventional method is changed, i.e. the immersing method and the spray method are adapted for the zones 22 and 23. And in order to enclose the heat energy into the zones, the air curtain 13 is provided before and after the zones 22, 23 and 5 respectively. As a result, the quantity of vapor reaching the zone 1 can be reduced, and then the flowing of the vapor within the booths is sopped to save the energy consumption.
