    • An image analyzer for detecting a target object from image data, includes a reference detection unit, a primary detection unit, a secondary detection unit and an output unit. The reference detection unit detects a reference object included in the image data. The primary detection unit detects candidates for the target object from the image data. The secondary detection unit specifies a portion including the target object from among the candidates, by using a correlation between a feature of the detected reference object and a feature of the candidates. The output unit outputs information representing the portion including the target object specified by the secondary detection unit.

    • Disclosed is the print image treatment device formed of: a contact member on a surface of which an excessive ink removing liquid not dissolving in a printing ink forming a print image and having a lower surface tension than that of the printing ink is applied, the contact member being driven to rotate; a facing member for bringing a printed surface of a printing body into contact with the excessive ink removing liquid on the contact member by nipping and carrying the printing body having been printed between the contact member and the facing member; a supply device for supplying the excessive ink removing liquid to the contact member; and a cleaning device for removing an excessive ink with the excessive ink removing liquid. The nip width formed by the contact member and the facing member, which is defined as the dimension of the part with which the contact member and the facing member are in contact in the direction of the printing body being carried, is specified to be 0.5 mm or over.

    • An image processing apparatus includes a dividing unit, a first extracting unit, a quantizing unit, a generating unit and an image output unit. The dividing unit divides an object image into regions. The first extracting unit extracts image features of the regions generated by the dividing unit. The quantizing unit quantizes the image features extracted by the first extracting unit. The generating unit generates an expected value of an occurrence probability of each topic variable indicating similar images from the image features quantized by the quantizing unit, using a correlation between the image features quantized by the quantizing unit and the topic variables. The image output unit outputs an image of a defective portion in the object image, using the expected values of the occurrence probabilities of the topic variables generated by the generating unit.
