摘要： A system for modifying a heart valve annulus includes a helically helical anchored annuloplasty device delivered to the annulus via an elongated delivery member (720). The helical anchors (745) of the devices disclosed herein are rotated into the valve annulus along an anchor guide (725) by using a driver (730) that is movably disposed in the delivery member. A tether (750) is disposed within an inner channel of the helical anchor and a locking device is used to secure the annuloplasty device after the valve annulus has been modified. The annuloplasty device can be delivered to the annulus using, traditional surgical approach or a minimally invasive or catheter based methods.

In order to reduce the profile of the device, the thickness of the distal protection element is reduced in one or both of the end regions, either by reducing the thickness of filaments which form the distal protection element, or by removing portions of those filaments altogether. 摘要： The present invention is a temporary intraluminal filter guidewire for use during interventional procedures, such as angioplasty or stent deployment. A braided filter (25) is mounted near the distal end of a steerable guidewire (150), which guides a therapeutic catheter. An actuator rod (62) slides over the guidewire and is removably connected to the filter. The rod controls relative displacement of the filter ends, causing transformation of the filter between a deployed configuration and a collapsed configuration. In several embodiments, the guidewire distal to the filter has a fixed tip length. Other embodiments of the invention include a mechanism for damping (95) longitudinal movement between the distal and proximal ends of the filter.

摘要： The present invention is a temporary device for capturing and removing embolic material during interventional procedures, such as angioplastry or stent deployment. A self-closing, tubular capture element (30), which may be either a filter or an occluder, is mounted near the distal end (27) of a guidewire. The guidewire is capable of guiding a therapeutic catheter (10). Relative displacement of the capture element ends (31, 33) causes transformation of the capture element between a closed configuration and a deployed configuration that spans the vessel to be treated. A latch (65) fixed to the guidewire temporarily retains the capture element in the deployed configuration. A first hollow rod (60) slides over the guidewire to deploy the capture element and engage the capture element proximal end with the latch. A second hollow rod (70) slides over the guidewire to release the latch and close the capture element.
