摘要： In the continuous mixing of two gases or a fluid and a gas, the main gas flow is split into an inner and an outer portion, with the inner portion passing through a venturi that draws in the other gas or fluid. The air stream is split into an inner and an outer portion as it faces two concentric tubes. The inner tube (16) is a venturi at whose throat the additional gas, or fluid, is injected through a line (13). The outer portion (18) is also of a quasi-venturi shape in which the inner tube forms the throat. An insert (20), fixed in the outer tube, comprises a set of segments (21) supported at their circumferential roots by elastic tangs so that the inner portions rest on the outside of tube (16). This arrangement presents a variable opening to the outer portion that is dependent on the flowrate. At high flow rates a large portion of the flow passes around the inner tube and at low rates most of the flow is through the inner tube. This results in a reasonably constant flow through tube (16) and hence good distribution of the additives at all flow rates.

摘要： A housing, such as a filter housing, comprises a cup or pot-shaped base 10 attached to a cover 11 by at least one closure element 16 which is selectively mountable on different holding fixtures 18 there being more holding fixtures 18 than closure elements 16, such that the cover 11 is mountable in a plurality of positions. The closure elements 16 preferably comprise clamp closures of wire construction or tension clips with a toggle joint. The holding fixtures 18 preferably comprise a notched ring 19 provided with reinforcing ribs 24 that is partially concealed by an annular ring 23 wherein the notch ring 19 engages a face 22 of the other housing part. The housing is preferably made of injection-moulded plastic and has securing means 12, 13, 15 for attaching both the base 10 and cover 11 to further apparatus.
