    • A plate heat exchanger (10) of the double plate type having a plurality of stacked plate elements, each comprising a first plate (1) and a second plate (9). At least the first plate (1) is provided with a surface pattern with a plurality of dimples (5) defining a first distance to a plate plane (8), and a plurality of canal parts (6) defining a second, smaller, distance to the plate plane (8). The first plate (1) and the second plate (9) are joined in such a manner that the protruding areas (5, 6) in combination form flow paths (11) being fluidly connected to rim portions (3) of the plates (1, 9). The heat exchanger (10) provides efficient leakage detection via the flow paths (11) while ensuring a good thermal contact between heat exchanging fluids through the plates (1, 9) via flat portions (7) between the protruding parts (5, 6).

    • Disclosed is a heat exchanger of a plate type comprising an evaporator having at least one inlet and at least one outlet allowing a first medium to enter into and exit from the evaporator. The evaporator comprises a plurality of interconnected evaporation chambers disposed in parallel, having at least one common inlet and at least one common outlet allowing the first medium to enter into and exit from the evaporation chambers. An injector (495) is provided in at least one of the evaporation chambers, the injector comprises a channel, the channel is connected at one end with the common inlet of the evaporation chamber and is connected at the other end with an expanded outlet which opens to the evaporation chamber, the channel is much narrower than the common inlet so as to form a jet flow when the first medium flows through the channel, and a hole (180, 480) is formed at the intersecting point between the channel and the expanded outlet or formed on the channel near the intersecting point between the channel and the expanded outlet. With the technical solution of the invention, the efficiency of the evaporator and thus the heat exchanger can be improved, and the wear of a compressor connected to and co-operating with the evaporator can be reduced.

    • The invention relates to a heat exchanger with a temperature sensor and especially a heat exchanger usable for heating hot water using district heating water. The heat exchanger (1) contains plates (2) placed in a pack and brazed together so that 5 separate channels for first (Fj) and second (VV) media are formed between alternate pairs of plates; two pairs of connections for inlet (3) and outlet (4) for the first medium and inlet (5) and outlet (6) for the second medium, respectively; and a temperature sensor (9) connectable to a valve (7) to control supply of the first medium through the heat exchanger. The first medium is intended to supply heat to 10 the second medium. The temperature sensor (9) is placed through a number of plates and in heat conducting contact with them such that the temperature sensor controls the first valve.
