    • An image forming apparatus includes a developing device, a liquid developer supplying device including a liquid developer flow path and supplying a liquid developer containing a solid content to the developing device through a discharge port of the liquid developer flow path, a storage container storing the liquid developer, a conveying mechanism capable of feeding the liquid developer from the storage container to the liquid developer flow path and feeding the liquid developer in the liquid developer flow path back to the storage container and a controller controlling the conveying mechanism. At the time of non-developing operation in which a toner image forming operation is not performed by the developing device, the controller controls the conveying mechanism to feed at least a part of the liquid developer present in the liquid developer flow path back to the storage container.

    • A liquid separator is a device for separating and extracting a dispersoid and a dispersion medium from a liquid sample containing the dispersoid and the dispersion medium. The liquid separator has a liquid storage container capable of storing the liquid sample; an electrode roller including a rotary shaft, arranged to touch the liquid sample in the liquid storage container, capable of conveying the liquid sample along the outer circumferential surface thereof and rotatable about the rotary shaft; a separating member held in contact with the electrode roller for separating the dispersion medium from the liquid sample being conveyed along the outer circumferential surface of the electrode roller; and a collecting member for collecting the dispersion medium from the outer circumferential surface of the electrode roller at a position downstream of the contact position with the electrode roller and the separating member in a rotating direction of the electrode roller.

    • An engine for a motorcycle includes an engine case split in an upper case section and a lower case section. A mating surface between the upper case section and the lower case section extends linearly and inclines forward downward in a side view of the motorcycle. A crankshaft, a transmission input shaft, and a balancer shaft extending in the width direction of the motorcycle are rotatably supported at the mating surface, and a transmission output shaft rotated by the transmission input shaft is supported in the lower case section. The balancer shaft, the crankshaft, and the transmission input shaft are arranged in that order from the front side in the running direction of the motorcycle. The transmission output shaft is disposed below the transmission input shaft.
