    • A process for efficient separation/recovery of copper involving selective extraction of the copper ion with the aid of an organic extractant from an aqueous chloride solution containing copper and one or more concomitant elements, discharged from an extractive metallurgy of non-ferrous metals or the like, and subsequent stripping. The process of solvent extraction of copper which treats an aqueous chloride solution containing copper and one or more concomitant elements to separate/recover copper, comprising the first step for selective extraction of copper from the aqueous chloride solution by mixing the solution with an extractant of organic solvent composed of tributyl phosphate as the major component after adjusting the solution at an oxidation-reduction potential of 0 to 350 mV (based on an Ag/AgCl electrode), and the second step for stripping of copper by mixing the extractant in which copper is stripped with an aqueous solution.

    • A rotation angle detecting device includes a magnet, a magnetic flux concentrator, a first magnetic sensor, and a second magnetic sensor. The magnet is provided in a rotary member and is substantially coaxially aligned with a rotational axis thereof. The magnet has a magnetic flux generation section and a magnetic flux absorption section oriented in radial directions vertical to the rotational axis. The magnetic flux concentrator is made of a magnetic material and rotates integrally with the magnet. The magnetic flux concentrator is substantially coaxially aligned with the rotational axis and disposed substantially parallel to the magnet. The first and second magnetic sensors are disposed between the magnet and the magnetic flux concentrator at a predetermined angle away from each other in a rotational direction. The rotation angle detecting device detects the rotation angle of the rotary member based on magnetic flux passing through the first and second magnetic sensors.

    • A braking force control system of an electric vehicle includes a regenerative-controllable motor for driving driven wheels, wheel cylinders for braking non-driven wheels, respectively, and a master cylinder connected to a brake pedal for producing a master cylinder pressure in proportion to a depression amount of the brake pedal. A mechanical braking force control unit is further provided in a working fluid passage from the master cylinder and the wheel cylinders. The mechanical braking force control unit includes a proportioning valve and a free-piston cylinder arranged in parallel with each other in the working fluid passage. The proportioning valve is operated to output a wheel cylinder pressure to the wheel cylinders when the depression amount of the brake pedal is no more than a given value. On the other hand, the free-piston cylinder is operated to output a wheel cylinder pressure to the wheel cylinders when the depression amount of the brake pedal is more than the given value. A motor control unit is further provided to perform a regenerative control of the motor for achieving a regenerative braking force which is equal to a difference between a target total braking force derived based on the depression amount of the brake pedal and a mechanical braking force derived based on the wheel cylinder pressure outputted from the mechanical braking force control unit.
