    • A room lamp which is cost effective and simple. The room lamp has a design part and a function part, the design part being secured with a lens in a housing attachable to an opening defined in an interior finish material of a vehicle, and the function part being disposed at a side of a rear face of the interior finish material in that the function part is supported by the design part, and having a light source. Clips are provided in the housing for temporarily securing the design part at predetermined positions. Projections project from the edge part of the opening along the rear face of the interior finish material. The housing and the projections hold the interior finish material.

    • An interior illumination lamp 1 includes a housing 13 for mounting in an opening 12 formed in an interior member 11 of a vehicle, upstanding members 14 formed in an upstanding manner on a reverse surface 13a of the housing 13, bending members 15 which are connected respectively to distal ends of the upstanding members 14, and can be bent to be disposed generally parallel to the reverses surface 13a of the housing 13, and a plurality of pairs of prevention portions 17 which are provided on the reverse surface 13a of the housing 13, and are disposed adjacent respectively to the upstanding members 14. Each pair of prevention portions 17 prevent the corresponding bending member 15 from being restored from a bent condition to an upstanding condition when engagement portions 16, formed on the bending member 15, slide respectively past the prevention portions 17. The reverse surface 13a of the housing 13 and the bending members 15 hold the interior member 11 therebetween, thereby mounting the housing 13 on the interior member 11. There are provided angle maintaining means 18 each for keeping the corresponding bending member 15, bent into the bent condition, at a predetermined bending angle.

    • The invention is to offer a room lamp which may simplify a structure and cost down. A room lamp has a design part and a function part, said design part being secured with a lens in a housing attachable to an opening defined in a interior finish material of a vehicle, and said function part being disposed at a side of a rear face of the interior finish material in that the function part is supported by the design part, and having a light source. Clips are provided in the housing for temporarily securing the design part at predetermined positions, said clips being able to engage the edge part of the opening, and the projections project from the edge part of the opening along the rear face of the interior finish material and are provided to the function main body of the function part, and the housing and the projections hold the interior finish material for providing self-preservation in that the function part is supported by the design part.

    • A first connector has a rear end side supported by a part to be assembled. A second connector is to be fitted with the first connector to be mounted from a front end side thereof. The first connector and the second connector are electrically joined each other. The part to be assembled includes an engagement panel engaged with the first connector. The first connector includes a first connector body, and a rotary member for engagement which is supported to the first connector body by a supporting axis for a free end of the rotary member to project from a rear end face of the first connector body. The rotary member includes a rear engagement projection engaging with a back face of the engagement panel, and a front engagement projection engaging with a front face of the engagement panel. The front engagement projection is positioned to generate a tangential force for rotating the rotary member about the supporting axis when the second connector is fitted with the first connector.

    • A connector connecting structure comprises, a first connector 50 held by a connector holding member 30, and a second connector 90 to be fitted to the first connector 50. The first connector is provided with turning levers 70A, 70B which are temporarily engaged with the connector holding member 30 before the second connector 90 is fitted to the first connector 50, and when the second connector 90 is fitted to the first connector 50, the turning levers 70A, 70B are turned by a fitting operation therebetween and finally engaged with the connector holding member 30. The turning levers 70A, 70B are provided on one end with a pair of sandwiching projections 74, 75 located on a front face side and a back face of a holding wall of the connector holding member 30 for sandwiching the holding wall. A resilient arm 76 is provided on a portion of at least the back face side which abuts against the holding wall of the sandwiching projection.
