    • PURPOSE: To obtain the titled carrier without deteriorating nor inactivating by wet heat sterilization, by immobilizing a physiologically active substance on a porous carrier having a defined linear expansion coefficient, Young's modulus and a constituent material within specific ranges, and sterilizing the resultant immobilized substance in wet heat.
      CONSTITUTION: A physiologically active substance is immobilized on a porous carrier having ≤3×10
      -5 deg
      -1 at room temperature, ≥1×10
      11 dynes cm
      -2 Young's modulus at room temperature and ≤20% absorption ratio of the constituent material, and then sterilized in wet heat to give the aimed carrier. A metal, glass or alumina, etc. is used as the above-mentioned constituent material and has preferably ≥1,000Å average pore diameter and ≥0.3mlg
      -1 pore volume and chemically bondable active groups in ≥1×10
      -8 mol m
      -2 concentration on the surface of the porous carrier. The physiologically active substance is immobilized through the above-mentioned active groups. Thus, the deformation of the carrier by the sterilization in wet heat is suppressed under the above-mentioned conditions.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an adhesive for dental implant which shows a firm adhesiveness to both of alveolar bone and implant denture, possesses no toxicity and exhibits excellent operativity in the oral cavity by mixing a paste containing a calcium phosphate-based inorganic powder, a specific polymeric monomer mixture and a polymerization initiator with a paste containing the above powder, the above mixture and a polymerization promoter. SOLUTION: The adhesive for dental implant is obtained by mixing (A) a paste containing (i) a calcium phosphate-based inorganic powder (e.g. tricalcium α-phosphate, hydroxyapatite or the like), (ii) a polymeric monomer mixture and (iii) a polymerization initiator with (B) a paste containing (i) the calcium phosphate-based inorganic powder, (ii) the polymeric monomer mixture and (iii) a polymerization promoter. The above component ii contains a monomer of formula I [R1 and R2 are each H or methyl; (p) is 1-4] and a monomer of formula II [R3 and R4 are each H or methyl; (m) and (n) are each 1-5; m+n=2-6]. It is favorable that the content of the component i contained in the component A or B is 75-85 wt.%.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adhesive which keeps its adhesion even when subjected to various sterilization treatments when used to bond polyvinyl chloride substitutes in medical devices, sanitary products and medical supplies and which can be used easily. SOLUTION: An adhesive comprises a solution obtained by dissolving at least one of those selected from block copolymers comprising (A) polymer blocks comprising aromatic vinyl compound units and (B) polymer blocks comprising conjugated diene units, the content of the aromatic vinyl compound units being 5-40 wt.%, and hydrogenated products thereof in an organic solvent. The polymer block (B) is preferably at least one polymer block selected from the group consisting of (b1) polyisoprene blocks having 1,2-linkage and 3,4-linkage content of 3 mol% or more, (b2) polymer blocks comprising 5-95 wt.% of isoprene unit and 95-5 wt.% of butadiene unit having a 1,2-linkage and 3,4-linkage content of 20 mol% or more and (b3) polybutadiene blocks having a 1,2-linkage content of 35 mol% or more.
