    • PURPOSE:To maintain the working circumstance in a sanitary condition by collecting a harmful gas generated in a facing by a chamber provided in an earth-moving conveyer, pulling in to the inside of an exhaust line by operating a pump, and conveying it to a process plant to be processed. CONSTITUTION:The methane gas generated in a facing by excavating a natural ground by a cutter 2 is conveyed by an earth-moving conveyer 4 together with the earth and sand, to the tail part of a shield 1, and put in a chamber 10. When it is detected that the methane gas concentration is low by a sensor, the bottom surface of the chamber is made in the opening condition, the cut earth and sand are dropped by their own weight and discharged out of the pit, and the methane gas is put in a discharge line 12. When it is detected that the methane gas concentration is high, the bottom surface of the chamber is closed to prevent the gas from flowing into the pit, and the methane gas is put in the discharge line 12. The mixture gas of the methane gas and the air is put in the water 26 of a process plant 11 so as to make a methane gas water solution, and when its concentration reaches a specific concentration value, it is injected to cylinders 27 from a drainage pipe 23.

    • PURPOSE:To provide an automatic measuring method by which accumulation of errors is not brought about and the displacing work is simple and hence, can be finished in a short time and accurate displacing works are not essential and further the position of a shielding machine can be automatically measured. CONSTITUTION:The position of a total station 7 is measured by a measuring method. A target 3 is measured by the total station 7 mounted on a carrier 5 which is in a stationary state to measure the position of the target 3 of a shielding machine 1 which is moving forward. When the shielding machine moves forward by a specified distance, the shielding machine is forced to stop and the carrier 5 is transferred and then the total station 7 is displaced. The position of the stationary target 3 is stored in the memory of the shielding machine and the position of displaced total station can be reversely calculated by measuring the position of target 3 with the total station 7 transferred. In this way, the position of the shielding machine 1 under excavation can be measured by the same procedure as in the above-mentioned way, by use of the displaced total station 7 as a reference point.

    • PURPOSE:To calculate an operation cycle time by detecting wehther the crane is in process of upward winding or downward winding by a lift detector, and detecting variation in the loading of a suspended load by a load detector and computing the points of ground release and unloading by a computer. CONSTITUTION:The computer 15 inputs the kind of the suspended load and also inputs a signal indicating the upward or downward winding process from the lift detector 13. Further, the unloading point is detected similarly by the load detector 10 as well as the ground release point. The ground release point and unloading point detected by the detector 10 are inputted to the computer 10, which subtracts the ground release point from the unloading point to calculate the movement time of the suspended load, and also subtracts the next ground release point from the ground release point. Consequently, the operation cycle time of the crane is calculated without troubling a crane operator.
