    • A bracket for mounting a cassettebox that includes a flat substantially thin rectangular plate member attachable to a table, shelf or other like surface. Integrally formed on the flat plate member are alignment and locking elements formed along the side edges of the flat plate member for positioning a flat plate member of another bracket in side engaging alignment thereto, so that cassetteboxes mounted on adjacent brackets are aligned with each other in side-by-side relationship. In addition, there are provided male beveled side edges integrally formed along the front portion of the flat plate member for insertion into female dovetail grooves formed along the bottom side edges of the cassettebox. Flanges are formed along the non-beveled rear portions of the side edges of the flat plate member for aligning engagement with and positioning thereon track members formed along bottom side edges of the cassettebox that is to be mounted onto the bracket. At least one female notch is formed in the front edge of the flat plate member for engagement with at least one male nodule formed at the front bottom edge of the cassettebox that is to be connected to the bracket. All of the above elements can be formed of a single piece of molded material to provide an inexpensive mass-produced mounting bracket of a simple and small configuration, but one that is versatile and ensures a proper mounting function for the cassettebox.

    • A container for holding a cassette that includes a rectangular casing and a spring-biased drawer reciprocally and slidably received in the casing for holding a cassette in either of the short directions of the cassette, wherein the drawer has a front portion which extends downwardly to expose the cassette when the drawer is in its partially outwardly-extended cassette-exposing position from the casing. Hub-lock projections are formed on the pivotal front portion of the drawer to engage the hub-openings of a stored cassette only when the drawer is in its cassette-storing position. The hub-lock projections disengage or drop away from the cassette when the forward portion of the drawer bottom wall extends downwardly in the cassette-exposing position. The drawer is formed either of a single piece of molded material having a reduced thickness to form a hinge line between forward and front sections of the drawer, of two pieces of molded material comprising the front and rear portions of the drawer wherein the front section is mechanically hinged to the rear section, or of a single piece of flexible molded material wherein the drawer bottom wall is molded in the open cassette-exposing position for providing a natural downward bias in the forward portion of the molded material and flexibly upwardly to form a horizontal drawer bottom wall when the cassette is in the cassette-storing position. The container has a stop means and a locking means for limiting the movement of the drawer.

    • A tape splicing device having an elongated bar member of substantial length with a detachable splice block at one end thereof, and the remaining portion of the elongated member being subdivided into a plurality of splice sticks. Each individual splice stick is provided with a handle portion and a head portion. A splicing tape is provided in a longitudinally extending recess along the upper surface of the elongated member and overlaps the plurality of head portions of the splice sticks. The splicing tape is severed approximately midway of each head portion so that a short section of splice tape will be removed along with an individual splice stick as it is removed from the overall device. The handle portion of each splice stick is preferably at an angle of 45.degree. to the head of the splice stick having the short section of splicing tape thereon for ease of manipulation in applying the splicing tape section to the ends of cassette tapes. The ends of the cassette tape are normally positioned abutting each other within a groove in the splice block. The splice block normally has a tail portion which after removal of the splice block remains with the elongated member to protect the last splice stick and the short section of splicing tape thereon. Angled recesses and grooves opposite thereto are provided along opposite surfaces of the elongated member for permitting easy detachment of the individual splice sticks from the entire device.

    • Beverage and water bottles are recycled by flaking and melting, extruding thin RPET thermoplastic sheets thermoforming disc and product trays. The thermoformed trays have disc or product receiving wells surrounded by inner walls. Tray outer walls are surrounded by flanges to aid in separation of stacked trays before joining the trays and covers. Disc trays have resiliently deformable hubs with radially extending retaining bumps formed during or after thermoforming the trays. Product trays have similar product-retaining thermoformed bumps projected over product wells. Paperboard covers are printed outside and inside, clear coated, creased to form spines and adhered to trays with minimal, separable adhesive for recycling ease. Gutters are adhered to inner portions of spaced trays forming flexible hinges, films are attached to flanges at remote edges of tray and printed inserts are inserted between the films and trays when loading the trays and before closing the packages.

    • A stand adapter holds containers, such as bottles, in inverted positions for facilitating pouring of viscous contents. The stand adapter is a one-piece structure that includes a mounting plate having a central opening, side walls extending from the inner surface of the mounting plate and an open base defined by distal free edges of the side walls. The opening in the mounting plate has dimensions for receiving a bottle neck and for frictionally engaging surface features of the outer walls of the neck portion of the bottle. The side walls of the adapter have sufficient width and thickness so that the bottle is sturdily supported in an inverted position. Opposing side walls are spaced such that a person's fingers and thumb easily extend between the side walls for twisting, pulling or flipping open the bottle cap. The side walls may form a continuous ring or may have cutout regions for allowing lateral access to the bottle cap and for facilitating non-vertical pouring of the contents of the bottle. The adapter may have any shape, size and width and may be integral with or separable from the bottle. The connection of the adapter may be inward of the cap or may connect directly to the cap so that the cap/adapter combination may be unscrewed as a unit. To connect the stand adapter to a bottle, the bottle cap is removed and the neck of the bottle is urged through the opening in the mounting plate of the adapter. The edges defining the opening engage the walls of the neck, securely connecting the stand adapter to the neck.

    • Reel leaf spring/cassette cover combinations are described, wherein the leaf spring is removably mounted on the cover. In a cam fit embodiment, the spring is held within opposing pairs of projections. In a press fit embodiment, the spring includes lateral pointed members, which are caught between parallel projecting members formed on the cover. A related method of assembly includes the steps of: forming a cassette cover to include a plurality of opposing projections; inserting a leaf spring against the cover diagonally between the projections; and rotating the leaf spring to be removably engaged by the projections. In an alternate embodiment, the leaf spring includes lateral pointed members and the spring is installed straight down, such that the pointed members catch the plurality of projections.
