摘要： Systems, devices and methods for defining, identifying and using health-related significant events are disclosed. One aspect is a programmable device having machine executable instructions for performing a method to assist with managing a patient's health. In various embodiments, at least one previously-defined event is detected based on a number of acquired health-related parameters. The at least one detected event is recorded with an associated time when the at least one detected significant event occurred. An action is triggered based on the at least one detected event. The at least one detected event is displayed with at least one trended health-related parameter in a single display area. Other aspects and embodiments are provided herein.

摘要： Adventitious lung sounds indicative of lung congestion are detected using an implantable sensor. The sensor is adapted to be positioned adjacent to a pulmonary system and to output signals indicative of lung sounds in response to pulmonary system activity. A controller receives the signals and processes the signals to detect the presence of adventitious lung sounds. A respiratory cycle sensor operating in conjunction with the lung-sound sensor enables classification of an adventitious lung sound according to its time occurrence within the respiratory cycle. Posture sensing in conjunction with lung-sound sensing provides valuable additional information as to the severity of the lung congestion.

摘要： A catheter includes a flexible shaft having a length sufficient to access a patient's renal artery relative to a percutaneous access location. A treatment arrangement is provided at a distal end of the shaft and configured for deployment in the renal artery. The treatment arrangement includes an ablation arrangement configured to deliver renal denervation therapy. An occlusion arrangement is configured for deployment in the renal artery and for altering blood flow through the renal artery during or subsequent to renal denervation therapy delivery. A monitoring unit is configured for monitoring for a change in one or more physiologic parameters influenced by the renal denervation therapy. The monitoring unit is configured to produce data useful in assessing effectiveness of the renal denervation therapy based on the physiologic parameter monitoring.

摘要： A device and method for multi chamber pacing a patient's heart having heart failure and intrinsic conduction, wherein ventricular tracking is used to pace the ventricle when the sinus rate exceeds a preset atrial maximum tracking rate. The ventricular tracking pacemaker increases the range of pacing the ventricle. The ventricular tracking minimizes the loss of ventricular pacing caused by intrinsic conduction when the sinus rate is below an atrial maximum tracking rate, and it induces a new ventricular pacing behavior for sinus rates above the atrial maximum tracking rate without any significant pacing hysteresis as the sinus rate returns towards the lower rate limit.
