摘要： A door shock absorber is provided to absorb noise and shock when a door is opened, and an image forming apparatus employing the same. The door shock absorber includes a first guide rail included in a door mounted on a case used as an outer covering. A first spring is contained by the first guide rail. A link has a first end hingedly connected to the inside of the case, and a second end connected to the first guide rail and able to move in the direction of the first guide rail. When the door is opened, the second end of the link moves in the direction of the first guide rail and compresses the first spring.

摘要： An image forming apparatus having a printing medium feeding unit is provided. The image forming apparatus includes a driving roller and an idle roller which engage with each other and which feed a printing medium, an elastic member which elastically biases the driving roller toward the idle roller, and a releasing member. The releasing member releases the elastic member when a cover door is opened so that the driving roller and idle roller may be separated from one another to remove a jammed printing medium. Accordingly, when a jammed printing medium is removed, the printing medium is not crumpled or torn, parts of the image forming apparatus are not damaged, and the image forming apparatus does not malfunction.

摘要： A paper cassette removably connectible to a body of an image forming apparatus. The paper cassette prevents a paper from being bent or crumpled. The paper cassette has a case wherein a paper is loaded, a finger rotatably installed at a side of the case to press a front corner of the paper, a spring installed at a lower side of the finger to flexibly support the finger to press the front corner of the paper, and a pressing plate installed at a lower side of the case to press the front corner of the paper towards the finger. The finger rotates downwardly by pressing the spring when the paper is loaded. When the loading of the paper is finished, the finger is returned to a position to press the front corner of the paper by a recovery force of the spring.

The first gear is engaged with the shaft gear when the door is closed and disengaged from the shaft gear when the door is open.

摘要： An image forming apparatus includes a main body having an air inlet and an air outlet. A fixing unit is mounted in the main body and fuses an image onto a recording medium. A heat blocking member is disposed between the fixing unit and the main body to prevent heat generated by the fixing unit from being transmitted to the main body. A suction fan draws in external air to a space between the main body and the heat blocking member. A ventilation passage is provided to the heat blocking member to enable circulation of the external air drawn in by the suction fan and internal air overheated by the fixing unit. Accordingly, the temperature difference between the internal air heated by the fixing unit and the external air flowing between the fixing unit and the main body is reduced, thereby preventing generation of moisture at the heat blocking member.
