摘要： PURPOSE:To enhance flexibility by subjecting, to ionizing radiation crosslinking, a mixture of a tetrafluoroethylene/ethylene/fluorine-containing vinyl copolymer and fluorinated rubber to which 0.5% or more of an allylic type compound crosslinking assistant and a charging property imparting agent are added. CONSTITUTION:As the base material of a heating element 3 having a positive resistance temperature coefficient between electrodes 1, 2, a blend of a tetrafluoroethylene/ethylene/fluorine-containing vinyl copolymer containing 60-80mole% of tetrafluoroethylene and fluorine rubber is desirably used. The blend quantity of fluorine rubber is desirably 20-60mole%, and particularly, a tetrafluoroethylene-propylene copolymer is preferably used. As the conductivity imparting agent, conductive carbon black is used, and its content is preferably 5-15 to resin content of 100 by part by weight, and the addition quantity of the allylic type compound crosslinking assistant is preferably 0.5-10 to resin content of 100 by part by weight. The ionizing radiation cross-linked material of such a blend is excellent in heat resistance as well as flexibility.

摘要： PURPOSE:To provide a foam plastic insulated wire having excellent mechanical and electric characteristics by extruding a mixture for which fatty acid metal salt and a foaming agent are added to polymer containing acid anhydride in the molecule, to the outer periphery of a conductor and by foaming the mixture. CONSTITUTION:A mixture, for which fatty acid metal salt and a foaming agent are added to polymer containing anhydride in the molecule, is extruded to the outer periphery of a conductor and is foamed, to provide a foam plastic insulated wire. The polymer is preferred to be composed of polyethylene or polypropylene while the anhydride is grafted or polymerized to a part of the polymer. The anhydride is included by 0.0001-10wt.% in the polymer. The amount of the fatty acid metal salt to be added is 0.01-10wt.% in relation to the mixed substance. As the polymer, polyethylene and polypropylene are preferred in terms of responsibility to the anhydride. As the anhydride, maleic anhydride is most preferred in the graft reactivity or polymerization reactivity to the polymer.

Namely, to improve the tensile characteristic, the resin composition, which is composed of chlorinated polyethylene and other material, and the organic silane compound are made to graft-react under the existence of the free radical generating agent, and the reactant generated this graft-reaction is exposed with water under the existence of the shilanol condensation catalyst, and they are cross-linked to form the composition, and the electric wire.cable has a coating layer made of this composition. As other material, vinyl chloride graft chlorinated polyethylene and polyester group thermoplastic elastomer are contained. The electric wire and cable having the excellent tensile characteristic can be thereby obtained.

Radiation rays are irradiated onto this coating layer. The above-identified electric wire which is subjected to no foaming in being machined and is superior in toughness is obtained. Use of this electric wire provides an advantage that the operating efficiency and economy are enhanced.
