    • A paper supplying deck is insertable into and withdrawable from a paper supplying portion of a body resulting in electrical connection between the side of the paper supplying deck and the side of the body through a drawer-type connector when the paper supplying deck is inserted and interruption of such electrical connection when the drawer is withdrawn. The paper supplying deck has a paper carrying portion with a paper width setting mechanism and a variable resistor the resistance value of which is changed in dependence on the paper width setting mechanism, thereby changing an output paper width detecting voltage. On the wide of the paper supplying deck, a resistance which prevents the paper width detecting voltage from amounting to a power source voltage even though the resistance value of the variable resistor reaches a maximum value, is connected in series with the variable resistor. On the side of the body, a pull up resistance is connected with the connector to discriminate between voltages in the connector when the paper supplying deck is mounted and when the paper supplying deck is not mounted.

The present invention relates to an adhesive film including a polyimide film and an adhesive layer containing a thermoplastic polyimide, the adhesive layer being disposed on at least one surface of the polyimide film, a flexible metal-clad laminate produced by laminating a metal foil to the adhesive film with a thermal roll laminator, and a production method therefor, wherein the polyimide film is formed by a process including step (A) of mixing a polyamic acid solution, a dehydrating agent, and an imidization catalyst, and casting and applying the mixture onto a support to form a gel film; step (B) of stripping off the gel film and fixing both ends of the gel film; and step (C) of heating and transporting the film with both ends being fixed in a state loosened in the TD direction.

    • According to one embodiment, an optical disc drive includes a disc tray, a cover, an advancing/retreating mechanism, a driving unit and an optical head. The cover includes a flat plate portion, an opening portion, wall portions and an opening part. The flat plate portion is opposed to a surface of the disc tray and has a frame shape corresponding to respective side portions of the disc tray. The opening portion is provided in a central part of the flat plate portion. The wall portions erect from outer peripheral parts of the flat plate portion and surround a periphery of the disc tray excluding a front part of the disc tray. The opening part is formed in a manner to open a region opposed to another surface of the disc tray.
