摘要： A power steering apparatus in which a motor for assisting steering force is mounted in such a manner that it is positioned substantially in parallel to a rack shaft of a rack-pinion type steering mechanism, and a planetary roller reduction device and a bevel gear connected directly thereto are mounted to the rotary shaft of the motor, coaxially with the motor, whereby the speed of the turning force of the motor may be reduced sufficiently and thus decelerated turning force is transmitted to the rack shaft, to permit compact disposing of the motor and the reduction device around the steering mechanism. In one embodiment of the invention the motor is mounted below the rack shaft and in another above the rack shaft between the steering wheel and the rack shaft.

摘要： A noise suppressing connector comprises a shielding casing, first and second contact pins to be connected to external circuits, and a filter including at least one capacitor and a coil wound about a core made of a ferromagnetic material. An insulative housing is enclosed by the casing, and this insulative housing has a partition defining a bore with the inner wall of the housing. The first contact pin passes through the partition to project into the bore, while the filter is disposed in the bore to be connected between the first and second contact pins. At least one conductive plate is disposed in the bore and is connected to the casing for effectively shielding the filter and for serving as a ground circuit. The space in the bore may be filled with a suitable insulative material. The number of capacitors and coils may be increased to constitute a desired filter, such as a low-pass, high-pass or band-pass filter. With this provision noises which tend to pass through the connector are blocked, while induction and radiation of interfering waves and spurious waves are effectively prevented.

摘要： A document feeder feeds document sheets one by one from a stack on a tray by pressing one or more pick-up rollers against an uppermost document sheet and guiding one widthwise edge of the document sheet. The width direction is perpendicular to a document transport direction. The document feeder includes: a document size obtainer that obtains size information indicating a width of the document sheet; and a center-of-contact shifting mechanism that shifts a center of contact of each pick-up roller along an axial direction of the pick-up roller according to the obtained size information. The center of contact is a central point of an area where the pick-up roller is in contact with the document sheet. Each pick-up roller is in a barrel shape. The center-of-contact shifting mechanism shifts the center of contact of each pick-up roller by axially tilting the pick-up roller relative to the document surface.
