    • A graphic editing apparatus makes it easy to change positions, shapes, or states of a graphic in a screen on a display unit with the passage of time or the change in value of an attribute, and then delineate the resultant graphic. The graphic editing apparatus comprises displaying units 17 and 18 for displaying graphics and time instants in a graphic area 24 and a time area 25 respectively on a graphic display unit, a processor 19 for specifying in graphic information an association between points on a change reference graphic 27 and points on a time graphic 28, and an updating unit 20 for performing interpolation to calculate the position of a point on the change reference graphic 27 with the movement of a current time point on the time graphic 28 or the passage of time, executing editing to move or deform the graphic according to the calculated position of the point, and displaying the graphic. The graphic editing apparatus handles an attribute value display graphic and a time-sequentially varying graphic, sets a bind point, displays grips, performs graphic relating-based editing, edits graphics synchronously, and so on.

    • A semiconductor light source lighting circuit includes a switching regulator that produces a drive current ILED with a switching element, and a control circuit that controls turning on and off of the switching element so that the magnitude of the drive current ILED approaches a target value. The control circuit includes an error comparator that compares the drive current ILED and the target value, an up/down counter that performs a counting operation, in which the control digital value is incremented or decremented based on the result of the comparison, a D/A converter that converts the control digital value into an analog duty ratio setting signal S4, and a drive circuit that controls the turning on and off of the switching element based on the signal S4. The up/down counter stops the counting operation when the switching regulator is brought into the inactive state.

    • A circuit for lighting a semiconductor light source is provided. The circuit includes: a switching regulator including a switching element and configured to generate a drive current for the semiconductor light source using the switching element; and a control circuit configured to control on-off of the switching element such that the magnitude of the drive current comes close to a targeted value. The control circuit includes: a comparator configured to compare the magnitude of the drive current with the targeted value; an up/down counter configured to count a digital value in a counting-up direction or counting-down direction, based on a comparison result of the comparator; a digital-to-analog converter configured to convert the counted digital value into an analog signal; and a drive circuit configured to control on/off of the switching element based on the analog signal.

    • An object of the present invention is to provide a compact, high-power rotating electric machine by downsizing coil ends on a distributed-wound stator using rectangular wires in comparison with the conventional one or by enhancing coil heat radiation from the coil ends or slot insertion portions.A stator (110) comprises a stator core (112), and stator coils (114) inserted into stator slots (112S) formed between a plurality of stator teeth (112T) formed on the stator core, and wound around the stator teeth in the form of distributed winding. Each stator coil (114) includes a plurality of rectangular wires having insulating coating, and the plurality of rectangular wires are inserted into the one stator slot. The direction of arrangement of the plurality of rectangular wires in the stator slot is different from that of the plurality of rectangular wires at both coil ends outside the stator slot.
