摘要： In an array substrate, a display apparatus having the same and a method for repairing the same, a substrate includes a display area and a peripheral area that is adjacent to the display area. A plurality of signal transmitting lines are formed in the peripheral area of the substrate. A plurality of signal lines are formed in the display area of the substrate and connected to the signal transmitting lines. A repair part is formed in the peripheral area of the substrate. The repair part intersects and is insulated from the signal transmitting lines so as to repair a first opened signal transmitting line of the signal transmitting lines. Thus, the array substrate may be produced in high-yield and prevent signal distortion.

The domain-dividing electrode divides the first and second pixel parts into a plurality of areas. The first, second and third switching elements are controlled by a first gate signal applied from the first gate line. The first, second and third switching elements apply a data signal received from the data line to the first and second pixel parts and the domain-dividing electrode, respectively. The voltage-changing part is controlled by a second gate signal applied from the second gate line. The voltage-changing part increases a voltage level of the domain-dividing electrode and decreases a voltage level of the second pixel part.

The direction control electrode is positioned in a region aligned with the slit, and a level of a voltage applied to the direction control electrode is changed. The level of the voltage applied to the direction control electrode may be periodically changed. The voltage applied to the direction control electrode may be changed after substantially the same voltage is applied to the pixel electrode and the direction control electrode. A voltage difference between a reference voltage and the direction control voltage may be greater than a voltage difference between the reference voltage and the pixel voltage. The reference voltage may be a common voltage.

摘要： In a display apparatus, a common electrode receives a common voltage of which a voltage level is inverted at every H/2 period of 1H period during which pixels connected to one row are turned on. A first switching device outputs a first data voltage having a voltage level different from the common voltage during an earlier H/2 period, and a second switching device outputs a second data voltage having a polarity different from the first data voltage during a later H/2 period. First and second pixel electrodes receive the first and second data voltages from the first and second switching devices, respectively. Thus, a liquid crystal voltage applied to a liquid crystal layer increases, thereby improving a response speed of a liquid crystal and reducing a power consumption of the display apparatus.

The TFT array panel includes a substrate, a switching element formed on the substrate and including an input terminal, an output terminal, and a control terminal. A transmissive electrode is connected to the output terminal, and a first reflective electrode is connected to the output terminal. A storage electrode is formed on a layer that underlies the output terminal and separated from the output terminal to form a storage capacitor with the output terminal. A second reflective electrode is formed on a layer that is above the output terminal and separated from the output terminal to form an auxiliary capacitor with the output terminal.
