    • An electrical connector for mounting onto and electrical connection to a circuit board (20) comprises a dielectric housing (1) in which electrical contacts (10) are secured with connection sections (12) extending outwardly from a bottom surface of the housing (1) and electrically connected by soldering or welding to conductive members (22) of a circuit pattern on board (20). A securing tab (8) is affixed to housing (1) and extends along the bottom surface of housing (1) and is soldered or welded to a metal pad (23) in board (20) thereby securing the connector on board (20) and preventing damage to the connections between the connection sections (12) and the conductive members (22) when the housing (1) is warped as a result of temperature variations.

    • A drive unit of a pressure device, such as a welding gun, includes a piezoelectric type load cell adapted to be arranged in an easily attached and removed manner and to have relatively small capacity. The drive unit includes a through-hole 6, formed in a rotary shaft 5 of a drive motor 1, which is a drive source, and a pressure shaft 10, configured to be able to move with a part thereof being in the through-hole 6. The rotary shaft 5 is rotatably supported by the bearing 7, and the piezoelectric type load cell 17 is sandwiched between a preload striker plate 18, through which the pressure shaft 10 passes, and a preload setting striker plate 19, through which the pressure shaft 10 passes with a preload exerted on the load cell 17.

    • A method of selectively utilizing a set of linear actuator motors for an application includes providing a plurality of linear actuator motors numbered from 1 to N including a box shaped housing with respective lengths between a first end-plate and a second end-plate and respective hollow shafts. Each hollow shaft includes an extended portion out of either the first end-plate or the second end-plate and configured to receive a nut including a tube part integrally connected with a flat-end part. The nut is configured to be able to mate in a common manner to any of the plurality of linear actuator motors. The method further includes testing any of the plurality of linear actuator motors including the nut for the application, wherein the nut is detached from one linear actuator motor to reattach with another linear actuator motor.
