The metal ions contained in the dielectric ceramic material are, at least, two kinds which are selected from the group consisting of Mg, Ca, Sr, Ba, Zn, Pb, Bi, Y, La, Ce, Nd, Sm, Gd, Er, Ti, Zr, Sn, Si and Mn, and the dielectric constant .di-elect cons. changes in the range of 7.ltoreq..di-elect cons..ltoreq.90. This dielectric ceramic material is used in a dielectric substrate for a stripline device, a dielectric substrate for a monolithic IC and a dielectric block for a polarizer. For example, the dielectric substrate for a stripline device, it is so formed that a dielectric constant at its center portion is constant, and becomes smaller step by step or continuously toward its ends. For forming a stripline on the dielectric substrate, when the characteristic impedance is to be constant, a line width at a center portion of the dielectric substrate is narrow and it becomes wider toward the ends.

This dielectric ceramics is used in a dielectric substrate for stripline device, a dielectric substrate for monolithic IC and a dielectric block for polarizer. For example, when used as the dielectric substrate for stripline device, it is so formed that a dielectric constant at its center portion is constant, and that those at an outer portion becomes smaller step by step or continuously towards ends. In the case of forming a stripline on the dielectric substrate, when characteristic impedance is constant, a line width at a center portion of the dielectric substrate is narrow and it becomes wider towards ends.

The dual-mode band pass filter includes a metal film partially disposed on a main surface of a dielectric substrate or disposed inside of the dielectric resonator so as to define a resonator. An opening is formed in the metal film to couple two resonance modes. Input/output coupling circuits are coupled to the metal film. At least one of coupling portions of the input/output coupling circuits or input/output portions thereof are moved in a direction along a perimeter of the metal film.

The dielectric body includes a dielectric ceramic containing a ceramic and a glass as main constituents, capable of being fired simultaneously with Cu, Ag, or Au, and having a Q value of more than approximately 300 at about 10 GHz.
