    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a specific gravity separation method for molten incineration ash capable of certainly specific gravity-separating metals left in a molten slag only by melting the molten slag without mixing a molten slag layer and a metal layer separated by specific gravity again.
      SOLUTION: An induction heating coil 23 is installed on an outside of a recovery vessel 7 positioned at a periphery of the slag layer 21. A high frequency voltage is applied to the induction heating coil 23 and the molten slag is only induction-heated to a melting point or higher of iron 20 to melt the metal (iron, copper, etc.) left in the molten slag 21. The molten metal (iron, copper, etc.) is lamination-separated from the molten slag 21 to respective layers of iron 21 and copper 19 heated to a melting point or lower by specific gravity.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique with which the development of crack on a metallic mold with thermal stress can be prevented and the maintenance can be performed without giving so much trouble. SOLUTION: The metallic mold for casting is composed of a fixed metallic mold 17 and a movable metallic mold 27 divided with a cavity 35 as the boundary, and secondary runners 64, 65 at the right and the left sides are cooled with a first and a second meandering cooling water passages 73, 75. As one example, the movable mold 27 is constituted of a metallic mold main body 30 and a sub-metallic mold 60 engaged so as to be fittable/separatable to/from the metallic mold main body 30, and in the sub-metallic mold 60, the secondary runners 64, 65 at the right and the left sides and the first and the second meandering cooling water passages 73, 75 are formed, and to the metallic mold main body 30, a first and a second center water supplying pipes 53, 54 for supplying the cooling water to the first and the second meandering cooling water passages 73, 75 are connected.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the coating material for preventing the molten metal does not contact with the surface of the mold directly and therefore the life of the mold is drastically extended and also improvement of the casting is realized by making the composition of the coating material, namely SiO2 , B2 O3 , Na2 O, K2 O, Al2 O3 , MgO, CoO to be in specified percent range. SOLUTION: ST01: The composition of the coating material is specified as follows and the sum total of the composition is to be 100%. 15-45% SiO2 , 30-45% B2 O3 , 15-30% Na2 O, 5-15% K2 O, 1-2% Al2 O3 , 0.5-3% MgO, 0.1-1% CoO. ST02: This coating material is applied on the mold surface at the fixed thickness. ST03: The mold of the conformer is formed. ST04: The molten metal of the cast iron is injected to the mold. ST05: The mold is opened and the casting is taken out. ST06: The impurities such as the runner from the casting is removed and the glass layer remaining on the surface is removed too and the metallic mold is cleaned. By the above process, the air hardening phenomenon and the oxidation of the casting is prevented.
