    • PURPOSE:To realize the soft landing of a pen, to increase the vertical moving speed of the pen and to carry out automatic drawing at high speed by providing an acceleration and deceleration signal generating circuit moving the pen to a desired height successively through acceleration, deceleration and constant-speed drivings when the pen is vertically moved. CONSTITUTION:When the output of an integration circuit 13 is -3V and an analogue switch H is turned ON, the signal obtained by adding the output of the integration circuit 13 and position output P through resistors R1a, R1b having the same resistance value is inputted to the input terminal of a phase compensation circuit 14. Therefore, a position servo is operated until the input of the phase compensation circuit 14 becomes 0V and, as a result, a pen 5 becomes stable at a position where the position output P becomes 3V. The output signal 30 of the integration circuit 13 is also applied to an acceleration and deceleration signal generating circuit 20 and the current command corresponding to an acceleration or deceleration current is added to the input of a constant current amplifier 2 by the change of the relative moving quantity of the pen at the time of the upward or downward movement of the pen 5. By appropriately adding acceleration and deceleration currents at the time of the vertical movement of the pen 5, the acceleration of the pen tip at the time of the contact with a recording medium 16 can be suppressed to the min. degree within a short time.

    • PURPOSE:To enable the adjustment of the physical properties of ink at a proper timing and thereby to conduct recording of high quality, by a method wherein a change in the physical properties of the ink is taken as a change in a voltage impressed on a piezoelectric element, the voltage is compared with a voltage set beforehand and the time of adjustment of the physical properties of the ink is displayed. CONSTITUTION:The upper and lower limits of a voltage to be impressed on a piezoelectric element 2 of a nozzle 1 are set beforehand in a setting circuit 15. A detecting circuit 14 detects constantly a voltage on which an instruction is given by a control circuit 13. A comparator circuit 16 compares voltage set in the setting circuit 15 with the voltage detected by the detecting circuit 14 at predetermined intervals, and when the detected voltage exceeds the limit of the set voltage, it sends a signal to a display circuit 17. Based on the signal impressed from the comparator circuit 16, the display circuit 17 displays that the physical properties of ink are at the time of adjustment. By adjusting the physical properties of the ink on the basis of the display of the display circuit 17, accordingly, recording can be conducted at all times with the ink having the physical properties within a prescribed scope, and therefore recording of high quality can be conducted.

    • PURPOSE:To detect leakage of an ink at an electrode or the like, by providing a current-detecting means in a circuit which connects an electrode for passing jetted ink droplets therethrough and a pulse-generating circuit for impressing a voltage on the electrode in accordance with a charging signal to each other. CONSTITUTION:In a normal condition wherein the electrodes 6a, 6b are free of leakage of the ink, almost no electric current flows in correcting circuits between the pulse-generating circuits 8a, 8b and the electrodes 6a, 6b. When the ink leaks at the electrode 6a, a minute electric current flows in the connecting circuit, is detected by a pulse transformer 11a, is amplified by an amplifier 12a, and the amplified current is passed through a rectifying circuit 13a to a comparator 14a, where it is compared with a set voltage Vs. When the output voltage of the circuit 13a is not lower than the set voltage, an output from the comparator 14a is at a high level, and an output from an OR circuit 15 is also at a high level, whereby an indicator 16 is actuated.
