    • The invention relates to a tool for machining a workpiece. The tool has a first tool component (12) which has a first internal coolant bore (16a, 16b) and a first connection interface (22) at a first end face. The first connection interface (22) has a first end surface (28) for applying a joining material and an elevation (30) which protrudes from the first end surface (28). A first coolant outlet (10a, 20b) of the first internal coolant bore (16a, 16b) is arranged on the elevation (30). The tool additionally has a second tool component (14) which has a second internal coolant bore (18a, 18b) and a second connection interface (26) at a second end face. The second connection interface (26) has a second end surface (34) for applying the joining material and a depression (36) which is introduced into the second end surface (34). A second coolant outlet (24a, 24b) of the second internal coolant bore (18a, 18b) is arranged in the depression (36). The first tool component (12) and the second tool component (14) are connected to each other by means of the joining material applied onto the first and second end surface (28, 34) such that the first coolant outlet (20a, 20b) is aligned with the second coolant outlet (24a, 24b).

    • The invention relates to a tool (10) for machining a workpiece, comprising a cutting insert (12) and a tool holder (14), which has a main body (15), an upper clamping finger (16), and a lower clamping finger (18). The main body (15) extends predominantly along a longitudinal direction (x) from an end (22) on the holder side to an end (24) on the workpiece side. At least one part of the lower clamping finger (18) projects over the end (24) of the main body (15) on the workpiece side. The upper clamping finger (16) and the lower clamping finger (18) together form a receptacle for the cutting insert (12), in which the cutting insert (12) can be secured by means of an actuating element (20) in such a way that the upper clamping finger (16) exerts a clamping force on the cutting insert (12) via an upper clamping surface (30) disposed on the upper clamping finger. At least one part of the upper clamping surface (30) when viewed in the longitudinal direction (x) is disposed between the end (24) of the main body (15) on the workpiece side and the end (22) on the holder side, and a resulting force vector (44) of the clamping force acts in a region which when viewed in the longitudinal direction is located between the end (24) of the main body (15) on the workpiece side and the end (22) on the holder side.     • The present invention relates to an indexable insert for a tool for machining a workpiece, wherein the indexable insert (10) is 120° rotationally symmetrical about a bore axis (12), which runs vertically and centrally through two opposing end faces (20a, 20b) of the indexable insert (10). Said indexable insert has two identical sub-elements (16a, 16b) which are connected to one another, each of which has three identical main cutting tips (18a-c, 18d-f) arranged relative to one another at an angle of 60° and in one plane, which run parallel to the two opposing end faces (20a, 20b) and at an angle to the bore axis (12). The two sub-elements (16a, 16b) are formed on the one hand as mirror-inverted to one another relative to a mirror plane, which runs vertical to the bore axis (12) and which is at the same distance from the two end faces (20a, 20b), and on the other hand are additionally rotated relative to one another about the bore axis (12) by a defined rotational angle (22).
