Upon receiving notification of a sudden change in vehicle behavior, a vehicle broadcasts a priority message to surrounding vehicles within a transmission range. If an emergency event has occurred, a repeat cycle is defined for re-broadcasting the message, and a maximum number of initial repetitions for the message is specified. The message is transmitted repeatedly by a leader vehicle, with a pause between each transmission, until the maximum number of repetitions has been reached.

摘要： The present invention discloses methods for condition-based monitoring of a system and its components using joint time-frequency analysis and signal demodulation. A first method allows construction of models of non-stationary signals having multiple time and frequency scales of interest. In particular, the method uses wavelet analysis to encode essential information in time-frequency transformations and provides a signal model for an operating fault or normal operation of a system of interest. A second method uses the signal models for condition-based monitoring to detect a change in a signal. In this method, the signal models are correlated with sensor signals to determine the operating condition of a system or system component. A third method for condition-based monitoring uses signal demodulation. In this method, a nominal response of a system component is subtracted from a detected signal to more reliably detect subtle changes in the signal due to component degradation.

A mechanical clamp includes an actuator that forces the mechanical clamp to contact the resonator. These micromechanical resonators facilitate condition based monitoring of complex electromechanical machines and components by allowing signature analysis in multiple temporal and frequency domains.

摘要： An implementation of location estimation using image analysis is described. In this implementation, an image of a place is obtained and matched with previously stored images. The matching may be achieved by employing methods based on key feature extraction algorithm, color histogram analysis, pattern matching or other image comparison techniques. Upon determining a match, the location information associated with the image provides the location. The location information may be in the form of location tags or location keywords and the location information may be used by the user or other applications for the purposes of location determination. The technique allows for the user to enter location information. The location information may be assigned to the previously stored images residing in local and remote databases for users and applications to assign information or keywords to images.
