    • PURPOSE:To simply and quickly connect an optical fiber tape coated fiber of a measuring instrument side and an optical fiber tape coated fiber of a cable side by providing a means for fixing a ferrule, and a coated fiber holder, in a fixed frame, and a slide member, respectively. CONSTITUTION:The jig executes to connect and detach an optical fiber tape coated fiber 3 of a cable side and an optical fiber tape coated fiber 7 of a measuring instrument side, and is provided with a fixed frame 21, and a slide member 25 which is guided by a guide rail 23 of a groove shape formed in its fixed frame 21 and moves forward and backward. Also, the fixed frame 21 is provided with a clamp 27 for fixing a ferrule 9 attached to the tape coated fiber of the measuring instrument 5 side to a fixed position, on one end side of the guide rail 23. In this regard, as for this clamp 27, that which is used for fixing a free ferrule 11 is also allowable. On the other hand, the slide member 25 is provided with a coated fiber holder 29 for recognizing the optical fiber tape coated fiber 3 of the optical cable 1 side.

    • PURPOSE:To attach a ferrule easily, surely, and uniformly by adjusting the position of an optical fiber projected from the front end of the ferrule by an aligning master so that the optical fiber is placed in the just center of the ferrule and heating an adhesive filled in a hole provided in the ferrule to harden it. CONSTITUTION:A thermosetting adhesive 3 is filled in a hole of a ferrule 1 provided with an optical fiber insertion hole 2a and an optical fiber core insertion hole 2b continuously in the center, and optical fiber core 4 which has an optical fiber 5 exposed from the terminal by a prescribed length is inserted into the hole 2. After the adhesive stuck to the outside peripheral surface of the optical fiber 5 projected from the front end of the ferrule 1 is removed by an alcohol or the like, the ferrule 1 and the optical fiber 5 projected from its front end are inserted to an aligning master 6 provided with a ferrule insertion groove 7 and an optical fiber insertion groove 8 in the center of said groove 7 continuously, and they are so aligned that the optical fiber 5 is put in the center of the ferrule 1, and the adhesive filled in the hole of the ferrule 1 is hardened by heating in this state to attach the ferrule 1 to the terminal part of the optical fiber core.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely couple a plug frame and a stop ring in a normal state by forming a guide groove for guiding a flange of the stop ring to a slit on the inner peripheral surface of the plug frame. SOLUTION: The plug frame 1 houses a ferrule to be fixed to the end of an optical fiber and the plug frame 1 and the stop ring 3 are coupled to each other by making a pair of the flange parts 29 formed on the outer peripheral surface of the stop ring 3 fall into a pair of the slits 31 formed on the plug frame 1. On the inner peripheral surface of the plug frame 1, the guide groove 37 for guiding the flange part 29 of the stop ring 3 from a rear end opening part to the slit 31 is formed. When the stop ring 3 is inserted to the plug frame 1, the flange part 29 is guided by the guide groove 37 and the flange part 29 is surely made to fall into the slit 31 without shifting the position relation in a peripheral direction of both.
