摘要： Television receivers receive a television signal and downconvert the television signal to generate a complex baseband signal. The complex baseband signal is differentiated and then integrated to reduce a direct current (DC) offset in the complex baseband signal. The television receiver may include a periodic known information field. The known information field is correlated with the integrated signal to determine a residual offset therein that is associated with a constant used in integrating the differentiated complex baseband signal. The residual offset is subtracted from this constant when integrating the differentiated complex baseband signal.

摘要： An adjustable matching network is provided for a wireless communications device transmitting and receiving signals in multiple frequency bands via an antenna. The adjustable matching network selectively connecting the antenna to a select power amplifier corresponding to a selected transmit frequency band and automatically matching the impedance of the antenna to the select power amplifier. 摘要： A short-range wireless radio communications system is provided that can carry data, voice, or data and voice traffic simultaneously. The band is divided into a plurality of channels or hops, and a burst composed of either voice information, data information, or a combination of data and voice information is transmitted during one of the hops. The system operates preferably in a simplex mode, but full duplex operation can also be employed. The present system can also be operated in a cellular, TDMA system. A multiple time slot method is employed whereby one time slot can carry data and another time slot can carry voice information.

摘要： A system for transmitting digital data messages between a plurality of stations using a common communications channel is disclosed. The data messages are assembled into data packets which include address and control information. The data packets are then transmitted from the stations over the common channel using appropriate data representative waveforms or modulation. A composite waveform representative of the data packets including potentially time overlapping data packets are received and processed to decode at least one packet. The waveform representative of the at least one decoded packet is reconstructed and subtracted form the received composite waveform to obtain a residual waveform. The residual waveform is then further processed to attempt to decode at least one further packet.

摘要： A method for determining the position of a mobile radio telephone in a satellite communication system is disclosed. First, a mobile radio telephone scans a plurality of paging channels and measures the signal strength of the paging channels. The mobile radio telephone then selects the paging channels with the strongest signal strength and decodes the information broadcasted on the selected channel. The information contained in the paging channel can include frequencies or timeslots of paging channels in surrounding spot beams. The mobile station then measures the signal strength of paging channels in surrounding spot beams and quantizes the measurements to determine a coarse position of the mobile radio telephone.
