Independent claims are included for: (1) preparing oxide particle containing zinc and manganese comprising introducing at least an oxidizable organic zinc compound solution and at least an oxidizable organic manganese compound into an organic solvent or its mixture, separately or in form of a combined solution, by means of an atomizing gas under the formation of an aerosol, introducing aerosol into a high temperature zone at 500-2500[deg]C with oxygen or an oxygen-containing gas for reacting, where the quantity of oxygen should be sufficient to transfer the organic zinc compound and the organic manganese compound completely, cooling the hot gas and the solid product and subsequently separating the solid product of the gases and optionally reacting the solid product with the surface modifying agent; (2) a dispersion comprising zinc and manganese containing oxide particle; (3) a coating composition comprising zinc and manganese containing oxide particle or the dispersion and at least a binding agent; and (4) a sun protection formulation comprising zinc and manganese containing oxide particle or the dispersion.

The zinc oxide powder can be used as a constituent of sun protection compositions for protection against UV radiation.

摘要： Production of particles coated with titanium dioxide comprises continuously feeding a mixture of finely divided titanium dioxide and jet particles through a flame of a reactor with the aid of conveying air; and sintering the titanium dioxide onto the surfaces of the particles at 600-1200 degrees C for 0.1-5 seconds. An Independent claim is also included for a process for increasing the adhesion between a metal structure and blended materials in dentures. Preferred Features: The mixture is blown into an annular flame operated using fuel gas using conveying air at a velocity of 1-50 m/s. The jet particles consist of ceramic, glass or metal as base material, preferably aluminum oxide. The particles have a diameter of 1-500, preferably 20-250 micro m. The titanium dioxide particles have a diameter of 0.001-10, preferably 0.01-0.1 micro m. The mixture contains (in wt.%) 0.1-30, preferably 1-5 titanium dioxide, and 70-99.9, preferably 95-99 jet particles.

摘要： Doped zinc oxide powder comprises doping component (0.005-15 wt.%). The doping component comprises oxides of aluminum, gallium, indium, germanium, tin, and/or silicon. The zinc oxide powder is in the form of aggregates having a mean maximum diameter of 30-300 nm. An Independent claim is also included for preparation of zinc oxide powder by treating zinc powder and doping agent(s) in vaporization, nucleation, oxidation, and quenching zones. In the vaporization zone, zinc powder is vaporized in a flame of air and/or oxygen and combustion gas under reaction conditions that oxidation of zinc does not occur. The hot reaction mixture from the vaporization zone containing zinc vapor, water vapor (reaction product of flame reaction), and optionally excess combustion gas passes through the nucleation zone and is cooled to 500-900degreesC or is cooled using inert gas, and an aerosol containing doping agent(s) is fed in an amount that corresponds to the desired amount of doping agent in the zinc oxide powder. In the oxidation zone, the mixture from the nucleation zone is oxidized with air and/or oxygen. In the quenching zone, the oxidation mixture is cooled to less than 400degreesC by addition of cooling gas.
