    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide treatment equipment for detoxifying halogen compound-containing oil, which can suppress the consumed amount of metallic sodium, even when oxidatively-deteriorated oil is contained in the halogen compound-containing oil, in detoxification treatment for dehalogenating the halogen compound-containing oil by the metallic sodium.SOLUTION: The treatment equipment includes: a treatment tank 3 for storing the halogen compound-containing oil containing the oxidatively-deteriorated oil as oil to be treated; a vacuum distillation tank 5 for removing water contained in the oil to be treated and for allowing the oxidatively-deteriorated oil and sodium hydroxide react with each other; a reaction tank 7 for obtaining dehalogenated oil by bringing about the reaction of the halogen compound and the metallic sodium in the oil to be treated, from which the water is removed and in which the oxidatively-deteriorated oil and the sodium hydroxide react with each other; and a slurry supply device 9 for supplying sodium hydroxide slurry to the vacuum distillation tank 5. The slurry supply device 9 continuously produces sodium hydroxide slurry by using insulating oil as a dispersion medium, and immediately supplies it.

The temperature of the cleaning liquid is preferably around 50-80°C.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a practical removal method for sludge precipitating in a vacuum distillation tank for removing water in PCB mixed-in insulating oil.SOLUTION: According to this removal method for sludge, the PCB mixed-in insulating oil is taken as oil to be processed, and prior to de-toxifying the oil to be processed using metallic sodium, sludge is precipitated in the vacuum distillation tank for removing water contained in the oil to be processed. The sludge is water soluble sludge which is precipitated when water is removed from the PCB mixed-in insulating oil containing oil oxidized alteration material, and the sludge is dissolved and removed by water. In this case, the oil to be processed is taken as a washer and the water contained in the oil to be processed can be used as a detergent. Thereby, the sludge can be simply dissolved and removed.
