摘要： A cable railway system has two or more stations and at least one carrying cable and a conveying cable extending between the stations and guided in the stations by way of deflection pulleys. At least one of the pulleys is driven. Vehicles, such as cable cars or chairs, may be boarded or disembarked from in the stations by the passengers. The system may also have one or more fixed carrying cables along which the cars are moved by way of one or more hauling cables. At least one device is associated with the vehicles along the section of the cable railway system, by way of which device the pendulum movements that the vehicles are subject to transversely relative to the direction of movement of the vehicles are detectable and its output signals are conducted to a device that controls the drive of the cable railway system. The drive is thereby controllable in dependence on the extent of the pendulum movements.

A check process is provided, which reliably recognizes seam faults in a seam which is introduced into one or more workpieces by means of laser beam welding. Characteristic signals are detected from the region of the seam using a sensor and compared with an index value or set value, and only signals are taken into consideration which are detected in a characteristic time interval following the laser beam welding, which begins, at the earliest, following the solidification of the seam.

摘要： When laser beam welding two or more work pieces, the weld seam is usually visible on the work piece that is farthest from the laser beam, on the side of this work piece away from the laser beam. If this side is in an exposed area, then it must be reworked, which is expensive. The task of the present invention therefore consists of providing a method and a device for laser beam welding, with which a laser-welded seam can be formed without being so noticeable. The task is solved by determining the critical energy input per area unit and time unit into the work piece to be welded, above which an appearance of the welded seam to a degree exceeding a predetermined level will occur on the side away from the laser beam of the work piece that is farthest removed from the laser beam, and that the laser beam is controlled or regulated in such a way that the critical energy input per area unit and time unit is not exceeded.

摘要： The use of α-zeacarotene, β-zeacarotene or a mixture of both as a coloring agent for food or pharmaceutical compositions. For addition to the food or pharmaceutical composition or otherwise incorporation therein during its preparation the zeacarotene (mixture) is generally first formulated to a solid or liquid colorant composition in the form of a stable water-soluble or -dispersible powder, an aqueous colloidal solution or oil-in-water dispersion of such powder, an oil-in-water dispersion of the zeacarotene (mixture), or an oil-soluble dispersion of the zeacarotene (mixture) in a triglyceride. In a solid colorant composition the zeacarotene (mixture) is generally finely dispersed in a matrix or carrier. Such colorant compositions may be prepared by homogenizing, in an aqueous or colloidal solution of a carrier and optionally one or more water-soluble excipients and/or adjuvants, a solution or dispersion of the zeacarotene (mixture) and optionally one or more fat-soluble excipients and/or adjuvants in a triglyceride or an organic solvent, or in a mixture of both triglyceride and organic solvent, and, if required, converting the so obtained dispersion into a solid composition. The colorant compositions, their processes of preparation and the food or pharmaceutical compositions which comprise the zeacarotene (mixture) as the coloring agent are further aspects of this invention.

摘要： The system includes a simple system for CD4 and CD8 counting in point-of-care HIV staging within resource poor countries. Unlike previous approaches, no sample preparation is required with the sample added directly to a chip containing dried reagents by capillary flow. A large area image cytometer consisting of an LED module is used to excite the fluorochromes PerCP and APC labeled targets and a monochrome CCD camera with a combination of two macro lenses captures images of 40 mm2 of blood (approximately 1 micro liter). CD4 and CD8-T-lymphocyte counts correlate well with those obtained by flow cytometry. The cytometer system described in the present invention provides an affordable and easy-to-use technique for use in remote locations.
