摘要： A Personal Digital Assistant (PDA) with retractable stylus comprises a retractable stylus, a housing, a stylus slot, and a push portion, wherein a contact pad is attached to the inner side of the push portion. The retractable stylus comprises a pen shaft having a release button, a pen body having an opening, and a spring situated inside the pen body. When an external force is applied to the pen shaft downward, the spring is compressed until the opening holding the release button; thus, the stylus is shortened. When the release button is set free from the opening, the spring elasticity ejects the pen shaft upward; thus, the stylus returns to the full-length condition. If the stylus is kept in the stylus slot, an external force applied to the push portion can make the contact pad press the release button; so the pen shaft is ejected upward by spring elasticity.

摘要： Antibodies against Ins(1,4,5)P.sub.3 were raised by immunizing rabbits with two types of IP.sub.3 -BSA conjugates which were synthesized by covalently coupling Ins(1,4,5)P.sub.3 to the carrier protein via alkyl linkages. The anti-Ins(1,4,5)P.sub.3 antibodies were detected by an ELISA where Ins(1,4,5)P.sub.3 was covalently attached to a microplate well surface. Both antiserum preparations showed specific binding with Ins(1,4,5)P.sub.3. The specificity of these antibodies was enhanced by affinity purification for the antiserum through Ins(1,4,5)P.sub.3 -agarose chromatography. The affinity-purified antibodies have IC.sub.50 values of 12 nM and 73OnM for Ins(1,4,5)P.sub.3 and Ins(1,3,4,5)P.sub.4, respectively. These antibodies showed many properties similar to those of biologically relevant receptors for Ins(1,4,5)P.sub.3.

摘要： A contact lens cleaner includes a base, a vibrating plate mounted swingably on the base, a container mounted removably on the vibrating plate so as to receive an amount of a cleaning liquid and a contact lens therein, a motor disposed on the base so as to swing the vibrating plate, a cam member mounted rotatably on the base and having a cam surface which is engaged with the free end of the vibrating plate, and a resilient element biasing the free end of the vibrating plate toward the cam member. When the motor is started so as to rotate the cam member, the cam surface of the cam member pushes the free end of the vibrating plate to move in one direction, while the resilient element moves the free end of the vibrating plate in the opposite direction to engage with the cam surface of the cam member, so as to swing the vibrating plate, thereby rinsing the contact lens with the cleaning liquid.
