摘要： In a method for the pretreatment of work pieces having a surface made of aluminium or aluminium alloys, for non-cutting shaping and/or the connection by welding or gluing to work pieces as well as for a subsequent permanent corrosion-preventing treatment, the work pieces are subjected to a three-stage treatment bya) rinsing with an aqueous, acidic solution containing a mineral acid,b) rinsing with water,c) bringing them into contact with an aqueous, acidic solution which is chromium-free and polymer-free and contains Ti and Zr as complex fluorides in a weight ratio of Ti:Zr of 2:1 to 1:2, in such a way that, after the subsequent drying off, a layer weight of 2 to 15 mg/m2 (calculated as Ti/Zr metal) results, wherein depending on the type of application, solutions having different concentrations and different pH values are used.

摘要： The invention relates to a method for pretreating workpieces having an aluminum or aluminum alloy surface. With the purpose of forming and/or joini ng by welding or gluing said workpieces to workpieces similarly pretreated or optionally workpieces precoated in a different manner or optionally precoate d parts made of steel and/or zinc coated and/or alloy coated steel and with th e aim of performing a subsequent permanent corrosion-protective treatment, the workpieces undergo the following three-step treatment: a) rinsing with an aqueous acid solution containing a mineral acid; b) rinsing with water, c) contacting the workpieces with an aqueous, acid solution that is chrome and polymer-free and that contains Ti and Zr as complex fluorides in a weight ratio of Ti:Zr ranging from 2:1 to 1:2, in such a way that after subsequent drying a layer weight of 2 to 15 mg/m2 (calculated as Ti/Zr metal) is obtained, wherein solutions having different concentrations and pH values ar e used depending on the application form.

Surface coating of metal, especially aluminum (Al), iron (Fe), copper (Cu), magnesium (Mg), nickel (Ni), titanium (Ti), tin (Sn), zinc (Zn) and alloys of these, comprises pretreatment with an aqueous composition (I), which can be largely or completely free from chromium(VI) (Cr-VI) compounds, before applying coatings and optionally shaping, especially in the case of strip or sections of strip. (I) contains organic film-forming agent(s) containing water-soluble or -dispersible polymer(s) with acid number 5-200, inorganic compound(s) in particles (II) of average diameter 0.005-0.3 Microm (scanning electron microscope) and lubricant(s) or/and organic corrosion inhibitor(s). It may also contain organic solvent(s), silane or/and siloxane, cross-linker, especially based on a basic compound, and/or Cr-VI compound(s).
