    • PURPOSE:To safely perform printing in large quantities and to simplify the structure of a recording apparatus by reacting the gas generated from ink at the time of the application of voltage with olefinic substance between electrodes to suppress the discharge of the gas. CONSTITUTION:In an ink image forming stage, when voltage is applied between an ink support roll 1 and a plate 4, ink 2 changes in its adhesive properties to be transferred to the plate 4 and, at the same time, the components in the ink generate electrochemical reaction to generate gas. When voltage is applied between a plate 3 having no adhesiveness to olefinic substance and the ink support roll 1, the water contained in the ink is subjected to electrolysis to generate hydrogen gas which is, in turn, diffused into air to generate the danger of explosion and poisoning. Herein, since the hydrogen gas is reacted with the olefinic substance, the gas is absorbed by the olefinic substance before scattered to the outside and the discharge of the gas can be prevented substantially and danger can be avoided. The olefinic substance is uniformly applied to the surface of the plate 4 by a porous roll 11 impregnated with the olefinic substance.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain an ink which shows excellent stability when continuously used in a recording system in which an image is formed by controlling the adhesiveness of the ink according to the pattern by applying an electric current thereto, by mixing a specified liquid dispersing medium with a crosslinked substance for supporting it. CONSTITUTION:The title image recording ink containing a liquid dispersing medium and a crosslinked substance for supporting it and having controllable adhesiveness is characterized in that said medium is one containing at least a glycol solvent and contains an electrolyte soluble in this glycol solvent. As the electrolyte, one which does not form any halogen atoms when ionized is good, and LiBF4 is particularly desirable in that it is highly soluble in a glycol solvent and can give a high electric conductivity. As the liquid dispersing medium, a mixture of a glycol solvent with water is desirable. As the crosslinked substance, a hydrophilic or natural or synthetic polymer is particularly desirable.

CONSTITUTION:When an ink transfer roller 1 rotates, ink 2 is applied in a prescribed layer thickness on the surface of the ink transfer roller 1 by a coating means 4, and it is transferred with the rotation of the ink transfer roller 1. The ink 2 formed in the shape of a prescribe layer on the surface of the ink transfer roller 1 is given an electric energy or the like in the shape of an image pattern by an energy impressing means 5, and an ink image 2a which is given an adhesion by the energy is formed. The ink image 2a is transferred onto an intermediate transfer roller 6 and then transferred onto a medium 8 to be recorded which is conveyed between a transfer roller 7 and the intermediate transfer roller 6. In the case when the ink 2 sticks on the energy impressing means 5 due to recording, a cleaning means 15 intrudes a recording head 5 a deep into an ink layer on the ink transfer roller 1 and makes the ink 2 sticking on the head 5 be stuck on the ink layer so as to be removed.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a surface, and/or a recessed and projected surface having an effect to refract light beams by printed-image quality-modifying ink by a method wherein an ink jet discharging element is used and at least water-soluble polymerized compound and/or thermally foamed resin particles are contained in the picture image modifying ink. SOLUTION: Printed image data of an original printed image are inputted from a printed image inputting part (S1). The printed image data inputted by an RAM are accumulated and an objective matter is discriminated out of the inputted printed image data (S2). As an inputted printed image data, a neck and chin parts including lips unit are selected as the original printed image, then, the lips part is discriminated as a printed image part to modify the quality of the same and the discriminated lips printed image is stored in the RAM as an objective printed image data employing the value of gradation of the lips part and the value of gradation of a skin part as parameters (S3). Next, the original printed image is printed by the groups of ink, loaded in a recording head (S4). The objective printed image part or the quality of image modifying part of lips part is printed by the image quality modifying ink(S5).
