    • A wireless communication system, comprising a host service, a wireless router system coupled to the host service, a wireless network coupling the wireless router system and a wireless mobile communication device (“mobile device”), adaptively delivers data to the mobile device in the wireless communication system.In another embodiment, a receive trigger is used by the host to initiate a session where messages are delivered to the mobile device. The host trigger consists of the receipt of a message from a host. Upon detection of a session, messages are sent to the device. If a session is inactive, login credentials are requested. Detection of a logoff trigger from the mobile device will terminate an existing session and current login credentials are also expired.

    • A device and method are provided for managing applications stored on a wireless device having limited storage space, wherein each application includes one or more components. Predefined criteria for each component are monitored. A trigger is generated in response to a trigger event. Components to be deleted are selected in response to the trigger in accordance with the predefined criteria. Further, there is provided a method for providing access to a component of an application for execution on a wireless device having limited available storage space. A visual representation of the component is provided for presentation to a user. A user request for accessing the component is facilitated via its visual representation. The component is wirelessly retrieved from a data source in response to the user request. The component is installed on the wireless device.

    • A method for memory management in an electronic device includes receiving partial content data records at the electronic device, storing the partial content data records in a memory of the electronic device, receiving a full content data record corresponding to one of the partial content data records, determining whether or not sufficient memory is available in the memory of the electronic device to store the full content data record and, if so, writing the full content data record over the corresponding partial content data record stored in the memory; and repeating the receiving and determining until either: full content data records corresponding to each of the partial content data records are received; or a low memory condition is determined in the memory. The partial content data records include key fields of data sufficient for uniquely identifying corresponding full content data records at a second electronic device.
