    • The present invention discloses a novel micro valve device, comprising a micro fluidic channel, which is formed by combining two hydrophobic plates, and the micro/nano structure on the wall surfaces of the channel are used to manipulate the mobility of the fluid in the channel. The function of the micro/nano structure mentioned above is to alter the micro or nano surface pattern on the wall surfaces of the channel. According to the relation between the surface pattern and the surface tension, the textured areas on the wall surfaces can change the mobility of the fluid in the channel. This effect is used as a switch in new types of micro valve devices for biomedical tests. Methods of making the micro valve device are described and include generating a micro/nano structure on the surfaces of the channel. The temporal control of different valve resistances can be achieved with different lengths, shapes, depths and materials of the micro/nano structures.

    • A tool device includes a diagonally disposed groove and a channel formed in one end and communicating each other, and a latch pin and a button slidably received in the groove and the channel of the tool device. A spring may bias one end of the latch pin out and to engage into a tool member, and to detachably lock the tool device to the tool member. The latch pin may be easily disengaged from the tool member by depressing the button into the tool device. The button has a notch formed between two legs for slidably receiving the latch pin.

    • A device for facilitating the hammering of a nail including a substantially cylindrical outer casing having a first open end and a second open end. A striking pin having a first end with a rounded head provided thereon disposed to be struck by a hammer or the like. An inner tube is received in the outer casing and attached to the striking pin at a first end thereof. The inner tube is longitudinally slidable in the outer casing. Two flexible holding strips each having a concave portion are disposed to be pressed outwardly for receiving a nail to be hammered therebetween. A hammering pin is attached to a second end of the inner tube at a first end thereof. A second end of the hammering pin is disposed to abut the head of the nail to be hammered which is held by the concave portions of the two holding strips before hammering. Two springs are provided for repositioning the hammering pin, the inner tube and the striking pin after the hammering of the nail is completed.
