摘要： Microcannulae are constructed with multiple components in a composite design, allowing the microcannulae to have varying mechanical and delivery properties that will enable ophthalmic treatments by minimally invasive means. The microcannula includes at least one flexible, tubular communicating element with an outer diameter of 350 microns or less, a proximal connector for introduction of materials, energy or tools. It may also include a reinforcing member attached to the communicating element, which may be designed to create variable stiffness along the length of the microcannula. The microcannula may also include other features such as a signal beacon near the distal tip.

摘要： A gas dryer or condenser utilizes a two-stage insert, each stage containing a different moisture-removing material such as a combination of lava rock, gravel and a felt material, housed within a pressure vessel, to dry a stream of gas, such as air from an air compressor. Moisture-laden compressed air passing through sequentially through each of the two stages releases liquid in the air onto the surfaces of the materials and the separated liquid drains into a liquid collection area in the bottom of the pressure vessel.

Additionally, snowshoe aortic diverters, which are planar rather than cylindrical are also shown. The methods of the invention generally include the steps of providing an aortic diverter carried by an intravascular catheter, introducing the intravascular catheter into the vascular system, advancing the intravascular catheter into the aortic arch to the region of the carotid arteries, and deploying the aortic diverter.

摘要： The application discloses a drug infusion system comprising a base and a drug dispenser. The base is configured to receive a cannula that delivers a drug to beneath a wearer's skin. The base is attachable to the skin of the wearer. The reusable drug dispenser is removably attachable to the base and has a pump unit configured to establish fluid communication between a removably attachable drug reservoir and the cannula. The pump unit pumps the drug to the wearer upon activation by the wearer. The pump unit may have an inlet to contact the drug within the reservoir, which may be a needle. The pump unit may also have a receiving unit to receive the reservoir. Such a receiving unit may be a tubular for a cylindrical reservoir, or may have a cavity or an encasing unit to hold the reservoir.
