摘要： A method and an apparatus for synchronizing contents of home network devices are provided to accelerate a synchronizing process by reducing the retrieving number of media servers in a content directory service. A control point device for synchronizing a predetermined content of a first device with a predetermined content of a second device includes a determining unit(812) and a synchronization request unit(813). The determining unit determines whether the first and second devices support a shared synchronization protocol, which is used for synchronizing the contents with each other. The synchronization request unit selectively requests one of the devices to synchronize the contents with each other by using the shared synchronization protocol based on the determined result.
