摘要： A process for preparing a fluorinated poly(arylene ether) comprising the repeating unit: formula (I), wherein n provides a molecular weight up to about 30,000 to 100,000, X represents one of following groups: none, ketone, sulfone, sulfide, ether, hexafluoroisopropylidene, αω-perfluoroalkylene, oxadiazole, and Y is 4,4'-(hexafluoroisopropylidene)-diphenyl, 4,4'-isopropylidene diphenyl, 3,3'-isopropylidene diphenyl, phenyl, or chlorinated phenol which process comprises reacting a bis(pentafluorophenyl) compound and a bisphenol or hydroquinone in the presence of a dehydrating agent and a polar aprotic solvent is disclosed. Polymers resulting from the process show good promise as new passive optic polymer waveguide materials.

摘要： A stroller track system is used to facilitate the transporting of a stroller up and down stairs. The stroller track system includes a stroller, a left tread assembly, and a right tread assembly. The left tread assembly and the right tread assembly are mounted to a frame of the stroller and are used to engage multiple stairs while traversing a set of stairs. This allows the stroller to glide smoothly up or down the stairs. The left tread assembly and the right tread assembly each include a first track and a second track. Together, the first track and the second track allow the left tread assembly and the right tread assembly to span a larger section of a staircase. The first track is mounted to the frame through a first stroller-attaching mount. A track- securing bracket is used to mount the second track to the frame.

摘要： The present invention includes microfluidic systems having a microfabricated cavity that may be covered with a removable cover, where the removable cover allows at least part of the opening of the microfabricated cavity to be exposed or directly accessed by an operator. The microfluidic systems comprise chambers, flow and control channels formed in elastomeric layers that may comprise PDMS. The removable cover comprises a thermoplastic base film bonded to an elastomer layer by an adhesive layer. When the removable cover is peeled off, the chamber is at least partially open to allow sample extraction from the chamber. The chamber may have macromolecular crystals formed inside or resulting contents from a PCR reaction. The invention also includes a method for making vias in elastomeric layers by using the removable cover. The invention further includes methods and devices for peeling the peelable cover or a removable component such as Integrated Heater Spreader.

摘要： Embodiments of the present invention relate to semiconductor device packages featuring encapsulated leadframes in electrical communication with a supported die through electrically conducting bumps or balls. By eliminating the need for a separate diepad and lateral isolation between an edge of the diepad and adjacent non-integral leads or pins, embodiments of packages fabricated by bump on leadframe (BOL) processes in accordance with embodiments of the present invention increase the space available to the die for a given package footprint. Embodiments of the present invention may also permit multiple die and/or multiple passive devices to occupy space in the package previously consumed by the diepad. The result is a flexible packaging process allowing the combination of die and technologies required for complete sub-systems in a conventional small JEDEC specified footprint.

摘要： A set of candidate documents, each of which may be part of a bilingual, parallel set of documents, are identified. The set of documents illustratively includes textual material in a source language. It is then determined whether parallel text can be identified. For each document in the set of documents, it is first determined whether the parallel text resides within the document itself. If not, the document is examined for links to other documents, and those linked documents are examined for bilingual parallelism with the selected documents. If not, named entities are extracted from the document and translated into the target language. The translations are used to query search engines to retrieve the parallel correspondent for the selected documents.
