摘要： A method for automatic detection of lesions within MR images includes administering a magnetic contrast agent into a subject. A sequence of MR images are acquired at predetermined intervals of time. One or more regions of suspicion are automatically identified within the MR images. A bidirectional exchange of the magnetic contrast agent between each compartment and its neighboring compartment is monitored for each compartment within each region of suspicion. Each region of suspicion is characterized based on the bidirectional exchange between each of its compartments and their neighboring compartments.

A surface image of the breast is automatically isolated within the acquired MR image based on a high contrast between the breast and surrounding air. A multiplicative field that transforms the isolated surface image into a uniform intensity is generated. The generated multiplicative field is applied to the entire acquired MR image to produce a corrected image.

摘要： An image interpolation method and apparatus by which to quickly generate and display motion pictures using a small amount of data. An image input unit inputs a first image and a second image. A matching processor computes a pixel matching between those images so that a corresponding point is obtained on the second image with respect to a lattice point of a mesh on the first image. The matching processor stores the matching results recorded as a corresponding point file. An intermediate image generator generates an intermediate image between the first image and the second image based on the corresponding point file. In particular, in generating the intermediate image, an attribute of the pixels on one image may be used as such without the attribute being interpolated between pixels of each image. Thus, when generating intermediate images, only one image and a smaller corresponding point file can be used.

摘要： A method for segmenting an anatomical structure within medical image data includes acquiring medical image data. The medical image data is transformed from an original image space into a projective dual image space. A boundary of an anatomical structure is identified within the transformed medical image data based on a set of preexisting training data. An inverse transform is performed on the transformed medical image data and the identified boundary to convert the transformed medical image data and the identified boundary into the original image space. The inverse transformed identified boundary of the anatomical structure is used to segment the anatomical structure within the acquired medical image data.

摘要： A shape analyzer is provided. The analyzer inputs a 3D representation of an object such as merchandise. The structural graph of the object is constructed by defining a continuous function on the surface of the object. The surface is then partitioned into plural areas according to the function values at the points on the surface. The areas are associated with nodes of the graph. By choosing a function that returns values invariant to rotation of the objects, the constructed graph also becomes invariant to rotation. This feature is important when searching for objects by shape from a shape database, as the postures of the objects are unknown when searched for. The analyzer is applicable to search engines for online shopping, where a user seeks goods by designating the general shape of the target.
