摘要： A process including providing at least two support members maintained at a predetermined distance from each other, encircling the support members with at least one loosely hanging preformed flexible seamless carrier support sleeve having a predetermined outer circumference, encircling the seamless carrier support sleeve with a flexible belt having an inner circumference substantially same as or less than the predetermined outer circumference of the seamless carrier support sleeve, and increasing the distance between the support members to stretch the flexible belt, the size of the inner circumference of the stretched flexible belt being substantially equal to the outer circumference of the seamless carrier support sleeve after stretching the flexible belt. The resulting flexible belt assembly fabricated by this process may be utilized in various systems including electrostatographic imaging systems.

摘要： An electroforming process is used to prepare a thin, deformable metal member by immersing an electrode having an outer surface with an undulating cross-section of hill-like and valley-like shapes in an electroforming bath. The hill-like shapes are narrower than the valley-like shapes, and, in a preferred embodiment, the bottoms of the valley-like shapes are electroformed to be thinner than the tops of the hill-like shapes. The metal member is useful as a spring in a fluid bearing such as an air bearing.

摘要： A specially constructed fuseblock and rail mounting adapter are provided for mounting a fuseblock to a channel. The fuseblock comprises a base having an elongated slot opening therethrough and, on its bottom, a pair of flanges. The adapter comprises a fuseblock mounting side and a channel mounting side. The fuseblock mounting side has a top surface having a key and a pair of locking tabs extending therefrom. The key is adapted to be received by said elongated slot when said fuseblock and adapter are generally perpendicular to each other, and then, upon 90.degree. rotation of the fuseblock relative to the adapter, lock with the elongated slot. The rotation of the fuseblock also causes each pair of locking tabs to engage one of said flanges. The channel mounting side is separately engageable with three different sized rails.

摘要： A layered photosensitive imaging member is modified to reduce the effects of interference within the member caused by reflections from coherent light incident on a base ground plane. The modification described is to form the ground plane surface with a rough surface morphology by an electroforming process which leaves the surface with a matte-like finish. Light reflected from the ground plane formed with the matte finish is diffused through the bulk of the photosensitive layer breaking up the interference fringe patterns which are otherwise later manifested as a plywood pattern on output prints made from the exposed sensitive medium.
